C O N N O R
A smile spread across my lips, as the sun beamed on my face. I gazed out of the window to see the cloudless sky, feeling better than ever.
I quickly got up from my bed and sprinted to the bathroom. After hopping in and out of the shower, I changed into an outfit.
I wore a red sweatshirt, with a pair of blue ripped jeans, which I brought with Jaxon, yesterday. I've always wanted to wear ripped jeans!
I was an emotional turmoil, I was excited, but very scared and nervous to go to school.
My door opened, and Jaxon walked in.
"I came to check on you, to see if you were awake or not, but it looks like you're already ready." He laughed. I forced a smile.
"Do you really want to get enrolled in grade 8th?" He asked for the millionth time, since yesterday.
"I will be fine, Jaxon. I have never been to school before, but did go to an online school so it won't be that hard, I guess." I said.
"Alright, but if you have any problem in any of the subjects, just let me know, I'll get you a tutor, okay?" He lifted up my chin and stroked my hair. I nodded and he walked out.
I grabbed my backpack and walked downstairs. I was at the island, when I felt someone shove me, hard, from behind. Maverick smirked at me. I sighed and went to sit at the table, where I saw Thibbault coming to the table, too. Elliot was nowhere in sight.
"Good Morning!" Harvey said, placing the pancakes in front of us.
"Morning!" I smiled at him, while they ignored him.
I was silently eating my breakfast and they were talking about their soccer game, when Jaxon cleared his throat.
"I need one of you to drive Connor to school." I held my breath, as he said.
"No way in hell is this little shit gonna sit in my car." Maverick clenched his teeth.
"I don't want any punk tagging along with me." Thibbault said, glaring at me and taking a bite of his pancake.
"That wasn't a question." Jaxon angrily said. He turned to Thibbault. "You're gonna drive him."
"What!? No, definitely not." He yelled.
"Yes, you're gonna drive him. Your old school is not too far, it won't take a lot of time." Jaxon calmly said.
It's their old school.
I gulped, when I saw Maverick still glaring at me.
"You know what?" Thibbault slammed his spoon on the table, grabbed his backpack and ran to the door. "I should just leave."
"I should get going too." Maverick stood up.
"Finish your breakfast." Jaxon frowned.
"I'm not hungry, Dad!" He slammed the door shut, causing me to flinch.
