I clenched my fist angrily and shooting a glare at him, I sat down on the bed.
"Who did this to you? I want the names." I hissed.
Connor shrunk back in fear under my gaze but didn't utter a word.
I could see some swelling after a cast was applied on his arm.
"Names, Connor." I repeated, my voice raising an octave.
"It's okay..don't make it a big deal." He stammered.
"Don't make it a big deal!? Are you insane!? Some guys have beaten you up so bad and you think it's not a big deal!? Have you lost your mind!?" I shouted at him.
He quickly lowered his head as my eyes were continuously glaring at him.
"Like you care, anyways." Elliot interrupted in between, just to raise my temper.
This jerk really has the nerve to test my patience.
I rose up from my spot, gritting my teeths in anger. "You shithead--" Before I could go more, Dad came into the room.
"--Whoa, what's going on here?"
"He's just being a jerk as always." I scowled looking at Elliot's direction.
"Calm down, Thibbault." Dad said.
"Calm down!?"
"Go to your room and don't come out of it until you've calmed yourself."
I let out an irritated sigh, but instead of walking to my room, I rested my head outside the wall.
I've screwed up.
I've screwed up so bad.
I've made him feel like I hate him.
I sighed deeply, thinking how much I've hurted him. I couldn't believe what I've done to him.
When Dad brought him to the house, I couldn't shake that feeling, how I've felt, seeing him all of a sudden caused me to remember all the memories of the past.
Those days where he used to run to me when he heard my parents fighting.
Now the same person who used to soothe him has scared the shit out of him.
Waking up in the middle of the night due to nightmares, it was me who made him sleep with me.
But now, nothing's like that.
I've screwed up everything.
"Is someone bullying you at school?" I heard Dad asked him.
Silence.
I legit hate when he gets quiet, keeps his head down and doesn't answer a question.
"I have asked you a question, didn't I?" His voice laced with stern.
