Finally, the bell rang and it was time for lunch. I grabbed my book, for the next class and then made my way to the cafeteria, where I saw a bunch of kids headed.

As I was walking someone pushed me on the ground. I grunted in pain and slowly turned around. I saw some guys towering over me. I gave them a furious look.

"Welcome to Harvard-Westlake, Connor!" A guy with blond hair said, I could tell he was a lot taller than me.

I collected my textbook and tried to stand up, but the guy snatched my book and pushed me back onto the ground.

"Give me m-my book." I mumbled.

"Give me my book." He mocked, while his goons snickered behind.

"Please..." I said, but he passed it to another guy.

"He's fun, Dexter." A guy, with black hair, laughed.

Dexter clenched his fist before stepping forward. He put his arm up, ready to punch my face. I quickly closed my eyes, waiting for the hit to come, but I didn't feel anything.

"What the heck, Dexter? Don't you have anything else to do? For God's sake, it's his first day." I looked up to see a girl holding Dexter's fist.

"Whatever SST!" Dexter gave me a last smirk, before he walked away with his goons.

The girl held her hand out for me, so I grabbed it and pulled myself up, to stand, stumbling a bit. Once I gained my balance, I just stood there. The girl had bottle-green eyes and light blonde hair. She was a bit tall compared to me, but everyone normally was, since I'm only 5'4.

"I'm sorry about them, they are the biggest bullies at the school." She whispered with a frown.

The girl chuckled a bit when I looked down for my textbook.

"Here it is." She handed it to me, and I whispered thanks in return, my eyes never leaving the ground.

"Wanna have lunch with me?" She asked. I slowly shrugged in response.

As we walked into the cafeteria, everyone began to stare at us. I quickly looked down and continued walking behind a girl to a table, where two guys were already sitting.

"Connor!?" A familiar voice exclaimed.

"Hi Lucas!" I stuttered out.

"You two already know each other?" The girl asked.

"Yeah. I walked him to his first class." Lucas said while gazing at me.

"Hi! I'm Cameron!" The guy, who was sitting next to Lucas said. He had sapphire blue eyes and blond hair.

"Shelby Tate." She told me her name.

"C-Connor." I mumbled. This time, I didn't tell anyone my last name.
