C O N N O R
Everyone was sitting on the couches together, laughing with each other and enjoying themselves. By everyone- I mean, Thibbault, Elliot, Maverick and Piper.
I just sat there, like I didn't even exist, but it was nothing new to me, so I smiled at the sight.
I stood up from my place and started walking to my room when I heard Piper say to Thibbault. "I can't believe he's my cousin. He never talks to me."
I didn't want to be rude, but I really didn't know what to talk about. She knows her other cousins properly, but not me and I'm not even used to all this.
I've learned that Piper can't live without chattering, since I've met her, I haven't seen her wasted a minute in silence.
I was glad to meet Grandpa and Piper. They were really nice to me and the best thing was that no one asked me any questions about my past. I was so thankful.
"He doesn't talk much, but don't say that, he was playing on Xbox with you, wasn't he?" He tried to reassure her.
"Yes, because Elliot was playing and you know, he doesn't know how to play Xbox." She said releasing a slight gasp.
It was already 9:35 PM and we had already eaten dinner. I sighed and walked upstairs to my room.
After a while, my door opened and Elliot walked in, a scowl was formed on his face.
"Here." I could hear the anger in his voice as he handed me my phone, causing my eyes to widen in both shock and fear.
"Why didn't you tell me, Maverick had your phone?" He snapped at me.
I placed my textbook down on the table and my eyes were trained to my lap.
"How many times have you lied to me about the phone?"
Elliot's face was radiating off anger. His jaw clenched as he was speaking to me.
His eyes darted towards me. "I swear Connor--"
I didn't even let him complete his sentence before I said. "I'm sorry."
He continued to stare at me for a few minutes before he let out a sigh. His angry expression instantly morphed into a soft expression.
He sat down beside me and I felt his arm wrapped around my shoulder. "You should have told me, yeh?"
"I'm sorry. I was scared. I didn't want to make Maverick more angry at me."
"Do you know how to use a phone?" He asked.
"Not really. I have only used my friend's phone, once but I didn't know a lot about it." I replied, glancing at my phone and then, looking back at him.
