Elliot is still not talking to me.

In other words, since I tried to converse with him but as a result, got neglected, I didn't put any effort to utter a word further than.

I grabbed my backpack, pronto. A thought arose in my mind as a routine to slip the phone in the side pocket when I realized I'm not presently carrying my phone. I have been grounded for sneaking out. Thibbault won't return my phone until the next two weeks and three days.

He can be so complicated at times.

Running down the stairs, I found Elliot slumped down on a couch. Neither, he took a glance at me nor I gave in to speak. I completely ignored him and passing through the living room, I made my way to another room.

The door was opened but Dad seemed to be working on his laptop, having all the attention fixed intently on the screen.

I gave a knock on the door. "Dad?"

"What is it?" He replied without looking up at me.

"Who's going to drop me to school?" I asked.

"Is Elliot busy today?"

"I don't wanna go with him." I rudely denied answering his question.

The sheets were scattered all over the wooden counter. Several files and records were kept on the side, while the phone was left in the phone stand. The laptop was put in the middle right in front of the position of Dad.

Dad finally raised his head up and placed his stare on me. "What makes you refuse to go with him?" The confusion was existing in his eyes.

I groaned as a response in order to quit the topic. "Forget it. Just tell me, whether you want to leave me or not, otherwise, I'll go with Thibbault." I added a small grumble. "I'm already late for school."

I found him incapable of drifting his stare off me before he gestured to me to move over. I approached Dad and sat down on the bed in front of him.

"Connor." His utterance was perturbing, making me concerned.

"Yeh?" My voice was audible.

Dad's eyes met my expression, draining all the discerned manner at the sight of me.

I felt like he wanted to speak further but he merely uttered. "After school, don't make your way anywhere else with your friends. Stay outside the building."

I offered him a reticent nod. Standing up, I could feel him staring at me in the way when he found me in Georgia. It made me quite anxious but I attempted to wash all the worry that had taken place inside me and walked back to the living room, readily.

Thibbault emerged at the sight when I glimpsed him running down the stairs.

"Ready?" I shrugged in response, and we left the house.
