"They're here I think," said Johnathan.

I checked outside from my window and saw a black car parked near our front porch.

"Yeah, come on let's go."

"I'm really scared Haley," Johnathan said.

"No stop. Get everything out of your mind. You are acting like it's your fault that you got into the fight. I'm going to be here for you Johnathan," I comforted him.

Johnathan didn't say anything but smiled at me nervously. We went outside our room as the doorbell rang.

"His parents are here!" yelled Mom.

"We're coming Mom!" I yelled back.

Mom opened the door as we walked to the front door.

"Thank you so much, Sarah. My name is Zach," he greeted Mom.

"And you already know my name. You are very welcome Zach," Mom replied.

"And I'm Allison," greeted Johnathan's Mom.

"Nice to meet both of you two," said Mom.

"Hang tight, Johnathan's coming. Would you guys like some coffee?"

"Oh no, it's fine," said Zach.

But Mom went to make some coffee anyway.

"Oh there you are sweetie," said Allison.

"What happened Johnny?"

"I got into a fight Mom. It's not a big deal."

"We still need you to get to the hospital just in case."

"It's really fine Mom."

"Listen to your Mom Johnathan. How did you get into the fight?"

"Well, I started it. I got mad and punched Issac in the face and we just fought."

Johnathan was lying. I was so mad that he blamed this on himself. I need to say something.

"Johnathan."

"Just tell them, okay?" I said.

"Fine," Johnathan said.

"I'm gay."

"What?" shockingly said, Zach.

"Since when?" asked Allison.

"For a while. I've been hiding it for a while, maybe since middle school. I was too scared you guys won't approve of me."

"Johnny why would you ever think that?" said his Mom.

"No matter what we love you so much," added Allison.

Johnathan's Dad looked mad. He clearly was upset.

"I know you won't approve of me Dad. And I don't care. I'm gay and I can't do anything about it. I can't pretend that I'm straight, I already did that and I felt trapped. Now I'm finally out."

I was so proud of Johnathan that he said that. Zach still didn't say anything.

"I'm gonna be waiting outside," said Zach and ignored what Johnathan just said.

"Come here, Johnny."

Allison hugged Johnathan and it was the cutest thing ever. I was so happy, at least his Mom approved.

"Thank you so much, Haley."

"Of course Allison."

"We owe you so much Haley, and your Mom too."
