I organized the kitchen and the rest of the things that she brought and walked back up to Alvin's room, he may wake up any minute and I should prepare the clothes he is going to wear later, he can't just keep wearing those dirty and worn clothes.
His room was so quiet and warm, it made me satisfied honestly. I set some of Alexander's clothes on the closet and organized them as well. I'm sorry Alex I had to steal your favorite shirts and pants, he will be very angry about these, I know him. I chuckled to myself at the thought of Alex whining about his clothes more than worrying about where I am.
"Ugh!" the sound brought me back to reality, I instantly turned around, only to see Alvin sitting up properly and holding his head, his eyes were still shut and his mouth saying nothing but producing weird sounds, which sounded like whimpers and groans. I swiftly walked to him and said "Alvin! Are you alright?"
He shot his eyes open and glared at me, well, I'm going to try to describe that look but I'm not sure it will be as accurate and terrifying as I'm really seeing it right now, his eyes were indeed sharper than hawk's eyes, dark, dull and lifeless. For a moment I thought he isn't seeing anything in front of him, or no wait, I thought he was ready to rip my skin off my bones. I can confirm that he can do it without any hesitation. My legs were shaking and sweat formed on my forehead and some on my palms too. Suddenly his words on the asylum ringed on my ears 'You don't know me, you don't know what I'm capable of doing. I can kill you without hesitation!'
"I told you to do not!" his husky and hair-raising voice broke through my senses, "I told you to not cross your limits!" his hands were now grabbing my wrist tightly, he pulled me closer to him and I could literally hear my heartbeats, "I told you to leave me alone!"
His words were emotionless and empty, followed by heavy breathe and intense glares,
"I told you I'm not who you think I am!" his face was inches away from mine; I could feel his hot breathe hitting my face whenever he talked.
"I did the right thing. I would still do it over and over again!" I challenged, okay, you may think I'm crazy, which I am.
His eyes got darker and darker, "Take me back, right now!" he uttered, gritting his teeth.
"Never!" I raised my voice, "you are never going back to that outrageous place and to that wicked woman!" I yanked his hand away and tried to get up but he grabbed my arm this time, his grip was tight and deadly, I could feeling my bones on the verge of breaking.
"Who are you to decided where we stay and where we not!?" he yelled, "Who assigned you to be responsible on us?" his voice was so loud that I bet the neighbors can hear it.
Sophia rushed to the room and stormed inside, her eyes widened at the sight of him almost breaking every bone in my body. "Alvin, stop!" she shouted.
He evilly laughed "Oh I see, she is the one who assigned you, huh?" he questioned me, his eyes still fixed on my eyes, "she failed to do it years ago, so, she asked you to do it, and of course you a naïve being, it was easy to convince you!" he bitterly laughed again.
"Elyse did all of this because she cares about you!" Sophia whispered, enough for both Alvin and I to hear, "she lost her dreams, her team and her freedom, in order to save you!"
Alvin's eyes were still on me, staring deep into my soul, he was inches away, and our noses can touch any minute. "Sophia, it's alright, you can go back to your room now!" I said. Seconds later I heard the door closed shut, leaving me with him alone.
"Kill me if you want, but I'm never taking you back there!" I confidently blurted, the view of his face was a bit blurry due to my teary eyes. I felt his grip loosen slowly until it was no more there, but he was still there, close to me, I could feel him, his presence, his warmth and his breathe.
"Leave!" he calmly said.
I wiped my tears and nodded, but before I reach the door I spoke "take a shower and change your clothes" I pointed at the closet, "the food will be ready soon!"
I opened the door and spoke my last words, "and also, you are free to walk around and do whatever you want, nobody will bother you anymore!" I closed the door and laid my back on it. He needed to feel free and independent. There is no Leyla and Stephan to bother him anymore.
"Are you okay?" Sophia softly spoke as she patted my head, I nodded and weakly smiled. "I know, he would never hurt me!"
"I know that too!" she grinned,
"I will make some food for us!" I stood up properly and walked downstairs,
"I will help you!" She followed me, "Oh, do you still remember how to cook?" I chuckled
"That's what I'm trying to figure out!" she laughed along.
We brought out all the ingredients that we need and started making breakfast. It was 9:30 in the morning. Sophia helped me to make it.
She, indeed, still has the skills. And I enjoyed seeing her going back to who she really is, she was laughing, moving around and enjoying the atmosphere, it was pleasant to see. But my thoughts were still going back to Alvin every now and then, I wanted to see him like that too, I wanted to see him enjoying his freedom instead of being chained by his worries and fears. I know he is afraid of hurting others, he is afraid of what he is capable of, and maybe because he doesn't want the real Alvin to wake up, he thinks that he will disappear forever if the other one wakes up.
