Olivia's POV:
Have you ever had a memory where you can't tell if it actually happened or if it only just a dream?
Your head can't make sense of it so you let it go. You convinced yourself it was just your imagination.
But what if it wasn't a dream at all? What if it was something that was actually important about what had happened to me?
Are my friends telling me everything?
"So you have a sister now?" Stiles broke me out of my thoughts as I walk with him and Scott to the lacrosse field. "And you spent New Years with them?"
"Half-sister. And to make things worse, they live with us and I have to share a room with her!" I exclaim. "She's gonna be going to school here!"
"Then why isn't she with you right now?" Scott asked with amusement.
"She has an orientation with the principal so he's showing her around her classes. This is literally my only time away from her."
"Did you try talking to Allison about it?"
"Actually...Lydia was there with me."
FLASHBACK
Lydia quickly drags me into my room and shuts the door behind us.
I breathe heavily as I enter and shake my hands bit so they wouldn't burst into flames. "Lydia, I'm gonna lose my damn mind. Just being in the same house as him makes it aggravating enough!"
I look around the room and took notice of the several unpacked boxes with another bed that had a suitcase on top.
Oh my god...they're making me share a room with Phoebe.
"You've got to be kidding me." My hands burst into flames and I tightly clench my fists to put them out.
"Olivia, I'm sorry I didn't get to tell you in the car. Believe me, I wasn't too thrilled about it either." Lydia says as she locked the bedroom door. "But you can't burst into flames in front of Phoebe. Your mom wants her and your dad to avoid this supernatural stuff for their safety."
"He's not my dad. He's just a guy who was too much of a wuss to be a part of our lives and decided to have an affair." I gesture to the door. "And his daughter already pisses me off for having the audacity to make herself comfortable here. If she doesn't like it, she can leave!"
The flames burst brighter through my hands again and Lydia walks over to me with a sympathetic expression.
"I know you're mad but you have to see this from your mom's point of view. She was...worried about you, remember?" She gestured to the door. "We were all pretty much a mess after the funeral—for Aiden, I mean. I blamed myself for not knowing a way to be specific about what I saw that caused you to get hurt. I—we missed you guys. A lot."
I feel the flames in my hands disintegrate, but I couldn't look away from her.
She placed her hand on my arm. "I know what he did was terrible, but give your dad a chance to explain himself. You don't have to forgive, but at least let him talk."
I nod slowly and glance at the boxes. "But did they really have to move her in here?"
"Your dad took over Isaac's old room since your mom didn't want him in the same room as her." She gives a small smile. "She's not dating him, you know. They're sticking with just being friends."
"Thanks Lydia." My eyes trail to her hand on my arm before I met her eyes once more. "Can you spend the night?"
