Astrid's POV:

"Let me out!!!" I screamed as loud as I could. Tears were streaming down my cheeks, and eyes red from crying.

"Princess Evangeline, you must run. Your parents and I will take care of this, but you must keep the legacy going." Alfred yelled over the gunshots, door, and sword clanks.

"How will I keep the legacy alive," I sobbed, sliding my back against the door, "if there will be nobody to see my legacy. No one to turn to. NO ONE FROM MY KINGDOM TO CELEBRATE OUR VICTORY!"

He whispered sadly, "You must go, Evangeline! Make us proud!"

Silence. Utmost silence.

It's what I thrived for. Why my past was buried under layers and layers of bricks. In the underground world, I was known as Blood Ivory, a part of the Blood Ivory twins (Astrid and Indigo Archer). To my friends, I was Astrid Knight, brother of Hayden Knight and daughter of Melissa and Grant Knight. But to the world, I was the long lost Daughter of King Carlos the second; Princess Evangeline Cristina Kolfindottir.

The heir to the Spanish throne.

I hid this from everyone except my inner circle. Archer, Sky, Mel, and Feya knew of this, but they didn't treat me any differently, which I was very thankful for.

'Evangeline' a voice hissed behind me. I whipped my head around to see who it was but turned up with nothing.

The cell, I thought in horror. The place where I was tormented about a year ago.

'This is where you belong. Come back." the voice hissed at me again.

I ran. I ran as fast as my legs could take me. They felt like lead, weighing me down instead of moving me faster. The voice gained on me as I tried to grab anything I could use against it.

'Your fight is futile, give up now Astrid.'

"No," I yelled back with force, "My fight isn't futile, and one day, I will be in my throne again."

The voice quietened for a moment before slamming into me and sending me off a cliff I didn't know was there, "NO!"

I shot up out of bed, heart pumping, and breathing labored. I glanced around to check where was I and caught on to a green light. '5:34' I thought to myself 'and I don't think I'm gonna be sleeping anytime soon.'

I stretched and yawned, slowly throwing the covers off of me and making my way into the bathroom. I quickly took a shower and walked down the stairs into the kitchen. After eating a bowl of cereal, I did a few quick stretches and jumped up to the bar that hung from the ceiling. As I swung, I calculated how much time it would take me to get to the backyard.
