The constant beeping of the heart monitor dragged me out of my infinite void.

When will she wake up?

Sometime soon, I'll keep her you all updated.

And then a whisper in my ear, Please wake up soon.

My heart started to beat faster from my attempts to open my eyes, and the monitor matched its pace.

What's going on?

Get the damn doctor!

I tried again, forcing my breathing to go faster. Everything sounded distant and muffled but the voice stuck out like sunshine on a cloudy day.

Come on, I screamed to myself, Get up!

I took three more gulps of air before I was able to fist my hand. I kept doing so until the barrier finally broke.

Everything was silent for a second but then they sound pounded through my skull. I groaned in pain.

"Oh my gosh, Astrid," my mom cried, lightly hugging me, "what happened?"

I blinked my eyes repeatedly, trying to clear my clouded eyes, scaning the room quickly as my dad quickly brought me a glass of water. Aris was bland as ever but his eyes displayed concern, which involuntarily made my heart flutter. Ugh.

Hayden was taking on the phone, Mel was running towards me, and Sky was putting her sketchpad away; and of course, mom was crying on the bed.

I greedily drank the water before signing in content.

"Can everyone take a step out of the room please," a familiar voice called out. I wonder why the room was huge and so many people were allowed inside.

Though knowing my dad, he probably threatened Naina into doing so.

"Wait," I said, "is Feya alright?"

Everyone walked out of the room, ignoring me, but Aris nodded before disappearing.

Naina sighed whilst massaging her temples, "You have got some good friends Astrid. Especially the garçon. Something about him is quite familiar."

I smiled before hugging her. Naina was my doctor for my gang, and back at the palace.

Take a seat, everyone; this is story time.

About 3 years ago, when my family and I were celebrating my real mother's birthday, the french prince's family was invited as well. We were very close to them, and they came to every party and event that we held, but if they hadn't come last time, the tragedy wouldn't have happened.

We were all having fun, partying and hanging out. Ironically, the prince's name was Aris as well, but his last name was Garçon.

About a month ago, we were to be married at the age of 20. Weird. Our engagement was when we were fourteen but never actually cared to talk to each other, even after the engagement.
