Aris POV:
I shut the car and locked before joining Hayden and the rest of the gang to go to the house. We made our way up the driveway and faintly heard someone singing 'Into the Unkown' from Frozen 2.
We all looked at each other smiling once we went inside. Adam even took his phone to record.
Then they said something about challenging Astrid before she sighed and started singing 'Wrecking Ball' by Miley Cyrus.
Halfway, Bryan, being the weirdo he is, interrupted poor Astrid and decided to sing the rest.
The girls turned to look at us and I had to notice how Astrid's hair was slightly ruffled, and she was breathless and blushing.
Why do I feel this way for her?
"What are you guys doing here," she asked, "I thought you guys were coming back at 4?"
I smirked, "It is four, sweetheart, and we got two amazing performances."
I could tell she slightly stiffened. Did I say something wrong?
"How long have you guys been there," she asked strongly.
"From where you sang the high part of into the unknown the first time," Ryan said with a grin.
Feya let out a breath loudly. "Thank god," she mumbled, "Or I would've been eating a chopped Astrid for dinner."
I raised an eyebrow in amusement and made my way towards Astrid and heard her reply, "More like chopped Feya dipped in BBQ sauce."
Feya's eyes widened before she ran up the stairs in a hurry.
"Where's she goin'," Hayden asked, "We aren't that scary."
Mel snorted unladylike, "Yeah, but Astrid is scary as fuck."
Astrid gave her a death glare and we all laughed.
Suddenly a bloodcurdling scream echoed through the house.
Without a warning, Astrid ran up the stairs and the girls weren't far behind. Hayden and I ran to the front door to see if anyone was there who could scare Feya, but I was confused when there was no one.
Suddenly, I heard the familiar sound of glass breaking and a bundle of bodies flew out the top window.
Astrid.
She tucked herself into a ball professionally as if she'd done this a million times before. I brought out my gun and saw her looking at me with guarded eyes.
How is she not freaking out?
"Can't use your skill in front of an audience that you know, now can you Ivory," the hooded man laughed in a sick way.
Astrid looked at me to contemplate if we had heard. I know I did, but not the other boys. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Mel and Sky take a couple of the boys with Feya.
Smart.
I looked at Astrid to see her slammed into the driveway and have a bullet hole in her leg, pouring out a concerning amount of blood.
"Fucking bitch," I heard her curse.
He stood on top of her and held her at gunpoint. I was about to go and kill that man but what she said chilled me.
"Do you know how many times I've been held at gunpoint?"
What. The. Fuck.
When?
The man cocked his head, "Enough to not be afraid of them?"
She smirked, "Yes, and now, you will join the grave of all those stupid fools who thought they could kill me."
She brought her leg up and hit him where the sun didn't shine. The man groaned before almost falling on her and before he could, she held this rod thing up.
It pierced him through his chest and Astrid pushed the man off of her. I could tell she had lost a lot of blood, hence, the pool around her leg.
She slowly got up but stumbled and her knees hit the ground.
"Astrid," Hayden yelled before we ran to her.
Crap. This is very very bad.
