chapter 27: The Truth

It was one of the September evenings when the ringing sound came. Seokjin nor Taehyung didn't move, they knew whoever it is Soobin can take care of. Not akin utensils later Soobin appeared in office.

"Sorry Seokjin sunbaenim. There's someone wants to see you" Soobin said. Taehyung and Seokjin exchanged glances.

"Who?" Seokjin asked.

"Didn't introduced himself. " Soobin stated. Seokjin nodded before standing up. Taehyung followed too. They walked out only to meet someone who shocked Taehyung. The boy looked at Seokjin and saw his white, pale face. His hands were trembling slightly.

"Jahiwan" Seokjin whispered.

"Can we talk Seokjin? " Ken said while looking down. Taehyung didn't know how to respond. Get worry or not.

"Why?" Seokjin said desperately.

"Please. I need to talk to you" Ken said.

"We have nothing to talk" Seokjin said.

"Please one last chance and I'll be never in your life again" Ken said. Seokjin looked at him. He walked toward the door . Seokjin  opened the door. Turned back to Ken.

"I guess you don't want to talk here " Seokjin said. Ken nodded excitedly and float toward the door.

"My stuff is in office would you take them home? " Seokjin said to Taehyung. So it was a long talk. Taehyung nodded with an encouraging smile.

"Take care boys " Seokjin said before heading out. Taehyung watched as he disappeared.

"Who was he?" Soobin asked curiously.

"Seokjin hyung's classmate in collage" Taehyung said before walking back to office.

"Why they were like that?" Soobin asked.

"I don't know the reason, I just met Ken once." Taehyung said.
He and Soobin took care of the shop until it was time to go. He gathered his and Seokjin's stuff before locking the door. He gave a ride to Soobin before heading home. Where Yeontan and their sweet sugar gliders were waiting. Taehyung feed them before cooking some easy dishes for himself and Seokjin. Yet he didn't know if Seokjin will comeback for dinner. Well he ate alone. It was 12 and still there was no sign of Seokjin. Taehyung was getting worried. Where the man must be? Was he still with Ken? The door bell rang at 1:30. Taehyung rushed toward it. Only to reveal a sad Ken and a drunk Seokjin.

"I'm sorry" Ken said. Taehyung only looked at him. While trying to lead Seokjin.

"I don't want to sleep, I wanna talk" Seokjin said, his breath was smelling alcohol.

"You have to rest" Taehyung said.

"If I don't talk tonight I'll never talk. Please I want to talk" Seokjin said desperately. Taehyung nodded sadly. He turned back to see Ken was gone and the door was closed. He sat next to Seokjin.

"My parents disowned me" Seokjin said. Taehyung shocked. What? Why? When? Why noone knows this?

"I didn't know my orientation. I never had a girlfriend in highschool or before. I didn't know if was attracted to men until I entered collage. There was a boy, I liked him. Brought up a crush for him. That's when I realised I'm into men. I didn't stop there. I hook up with some men and women to be sure. I got that. I was 100% gay. I drove to my parents that weekend. Namjoon wasn't home. I come out. And..... they disowned me" Seokjin said with a tear falling down his face. Taehyung didn't know what to say, how to respond.

"They told me to never see them again. They told me I'm a shame for them, I'm a shame for Kim family. Do you know my father is a wealthy man? Yes, he broke every financial support. They completely disowned me yet they never mentioned this to Namjoon. He was so fond of me, he loved me most. My parents knew if they tell the truth to Namjoon, he will hate them. They knew so they never told him they disowned me. Meanwhile, Jahiwan was my best friend those times. We used to say each other our secrets. I told him. I told him that I was gay. When I came back from my parents house that weekend. The whole university knew I'm gay " Seokjin said he was calm and that made Taehyung so much worried.

"Well gay people are not so common for our society. Everyone talked behind him, I could see papers written about me, I could hear people talking about me. Some of them even used to bully me. I wasn't strong those times. Mentally I was in a breakdown. My parents disowned me and everyone in collage was disliking me. Once the person they praised now, they were talking low of him. I had to work so much to meet my needs. I didn't had time to rest enough. Just work and collage. Both places were stressing me. People were turning to monsters inside my head. I was afraid of talking to them. Every people once I talked stabbed me in the back. I forgot how to socialise, I forgot how to talk because I was afraid of those monsters. I only had my brother, Yoongi and Hoseok. I never talked to them about it, I was their hyung. I didn't want to be a failure. I kept it as a secret I will carry it to death" Seokjin said, Taehyung weeped away his tears before doing the same with Seokjin.

"Jin hyung " Taehyung whispered after a brief silence.

"Until you entered my life" Seokjin said.  Taehyung looked surprised. "Since the first time you entered the shop, I knew you'll break the walls I made for myself. When you started to work here, I was so comfortable next to you. You weren't a monster" Seokjin said. Taehyung kissed his temple.

"You came and made my days brighter. You made me fall in love with you since the first day I met you. Do you remember cherry blossom paint?" Seokjin asked. Taehyung nodded.

"Because of you I wanted to start again, I wanted to turn my life from cold winter to a blooming spring. I wanted to change " Seokjin said.

"Today Ken and I talked. He told me he was dumb and immature for not keeping my secret. I said I forgave him so long time ago. But the effect is still here. My parents and him ruined my youth. I said all to him. He was sad but that time I decided something" Seokjin said before pausing.

"What you decided Jinnie hyung?" Taehyung said worriedly.

"I want to relive my youth. I want to turn back time to when I was 20. I want to enjoy everything possible. I don't want to keep any truth untold in me anymore. I wanna shout. But most importantly I wanna do the all with you, will you come with me through this path?" Seokjin said. Taehyung's eyes were sparkling. He hugged Seokjin.

"I will be by your side wherever you go" Taehyung whispered.
