I have been having an amazing week!
I started the week off with Botany, which was super fun because we got to go to the greenhouses and then I had English later that day with Roman.
The next day I had science with Logan, which I was also ecstatic about. Unfortunately, I was lonely in math that afternoon.
And that is where I'm sitting now, gazing at the board and almost falling asleep. I really hated math, no matter the school, or teacher.
It seemed the person beside me was also having trouble paying attention, and while I usually didn't start conversations in class, I couldn't fight the urge.
"Hi! I'm Patton," he whispered cheerily to the person beside him.
They looked over, and seemed almost grateful that I had decided to start a conversation, which made me happy, even if they hadn't directly said it.
"Hullo, I'm Emille." They said as they stuck out their hand.
I shook it and we continued to converse through the class, even exchanging numbers at one point. It made me happy to have a friend in the class.
We said goodbye afterwords and we went our separate ways, me to my bike, the other just plain walking in the opposite direction.
I hopped onto the bike and put on my helmet, because safety and pedaled back to the building my dorm was in, humming as I went about my way and locking my bike into the bike rack outside before heading in.
I was about to get into the elevator when I bumped into my dormmate himself, Roman. I rubbed the side of my head where it had collided with him and looked up at him with a grin, "where you off to?"
I would have assumed it would be classes but he had no bag with him, or books, or anything.
"I was going to actually get some take-out for everyone you can come with me if ya' want puffball."
I noticed the nickname and smiled wider, as I enjoyed listening to his funny nicknames, sometimes they were random, like this one, but it was still fun.
I followed him and we had a nice conversation to and from the restaurant to pick up the food.
When we reached the dorm, Roman decided to be his theatre-kid self (I know how theatre kids are, as I am one) and proceeded to kick opened the door as soon as it unlocked.
Immediately I noticed our fourth dormmate peak his head over the couch, confused but then noticing the food, right before Roman glanced at him and chuckled, "greetings you beast, come and get some food."
I smiled warmly at the two and got a plate of food and went to sit at the couch, but noticed the show our dorm mate was watching and attempted not to jump with joy.
Steven Universe.
I sat at the armchair that usually held Logan, and watched the show. Roman had talked to the other a little bit, which made me smile.
I didn't even know their name yet, but I wouldn't pressure them.
I don't remember when, but I eventually fell asleep, curled up on Logan's comfy chair.
...
I woke up in my own bed, confused, but shrugged it off. Luckily, I had no classes today, but I know that Roman and Logan do. The other, I'm not sure.
I silently hoped he didn't so I could get to know him better and my prayers were answered when I spotted him making some coffee, still in pajamas.
"Hey there kiddo!"
