Virgil smiled widely, putting his card down on the table. Yet again, he had won. "What was that about being better than me at Rummy?"

A/N: Rummy is the best card game, no cap.

Roman huffed and threw his cards down onto the table. "I'd like it more if you let me win," he offered, ignoring Virgil's previous statement. Despite his tempered comment, Roman had a smile plastered onto his face.

Seeing Virgil so proud of himself was rare. The emo had a wide grin, and no makeup on. He almost looked puffed up with confidence, and frankly, it looked quite cute.

"On second thought, maybe I should let you keep winning. I've never seen you so confident in yourself. It's cute," Roman said, leaning into his hand, propped up by his elbow.

Virgil rolled his eyes, but the smile never faltered. "You won't have to let me."

Roman sighed, but it wasn't with any particular underlying emotion. It was more of just a breath. "Alright, alright. Now, are you ready to go? We were supposed to leave an hour ago."

Virgil's face became blank, an expression of confusion gracing his features before he remembered where they were going. It was Saturday, and that meant the promised date that he'd give Roman.

In the end, they had chosen to go to an ice skating rink. Roman had offered to pay yet again, but Virgil gave the option of himself paying with money from work, or no date at all.

Roman would much rather the first, so he begrudgingly agreed.

Virgil stood up, stretching his arms over his head in a wide motion. "Mhm. Let me grab my beanie and coat."

Roman tapped his foot against the floor by the door, glancing around a bit. It wasn't long until Virgil ran back out, seeming to have rushed to grab his two items. The beanie was a dark purple that couldn't seem to contain his fluffy and slightly curly hair, while the coat he had on was long and black.

The princely man looked up and down at the emo's outfit, surprised at how good he looked in the pieces of clothing. He found himself mesmerized and awed at how he managed to capture the attention of someone so perfect.

Virgil squirmed a bit when Roman didn't move, just stared at him. "Princey? Are we gonna go?"

Roman shook his head and smiled widely, extending a hand towards the other to take, simultaneously opening the door with the other hand. "Yup! Sorry, just thinking."

Virgil took Roman's hand, suddenly feeling the intoxicating warmth. "About what?" he queried cautiously. He didn't want to seem pushy, but was mildly curious.

"About how I managed to snag a date with the cutest person ever," Roman commented smugly before shutting the door behind the two.

Virgil's slightly red cheeks heated up a bit, but he had gotten at least slightly used to the flirting by now. "I could ask the exact same thing."

Roman smiled sweetly and continued walking, hand in hand with the emo he was going on a date with.

...

Virgil got two pairs of ice skates, while Roman pouted in the background, not being able to pay like the simp he is. The emo rolled his eyes and set the skates on the other's lap.

Roman begrudgingly began to slip them on, and Virgil sighed at his sour mood. There was only one solution he could think of in that moment.

The emo leaned over a bit and pecked Roman on the cheek before going back to tying his skates. It was a struggle because of his gloves.
