Patton talked to me enthusiastically and I listened to my best ability. He was just talking so fast-
I nodded and smiled as I picked at the food on my tray. It wasn't the most appealing compared to homemade meals from home. But I wasn't a picky eater.
Logan read an article on his phone while he ate, in silence, and I questioned starting a conversation with him. How did Stormcloud manage to do it?
I looked at Patton, who was still going on about... roses? Maybe?? I don't really know, but that was the problem. I didn't know what he was rambling about so I couldn't just start listening now..
I cleared my throat and Patton wrapped up, to which I gestured to his food, signalling he should eat.
"So I see you like Botany. You didn't even have it today!" I smirked.
Patton gulped his food down. "Yup! They're just so cool!"
Logan at some point in the conversation, finished his food and put away his tray. "I'm heading back now."
And that was it.
He was a confusing man sometimes, like, he never even wanted to hang out with us!
I shook my head but continued the conversation with Patton over our classes, which ended in me gushing about theatre tomorrow with our dark and brooding dorm-mate.
"He's such a confusing person.. I asked his name and he didn't even tell me it! Who does that??" I sighed dramatically.
Patton smiled widely. "I would tell you his name, but he must have a reason-"
I sat up instantly. "He told you his name? What the hel-ck." I trailed off, hoping he didn't notice my, almost, swear. Luckily, he didn't.
"Yeah! He told me at the arcade the other day. He's actually pretty nice.. and competitive.. REALLY competitive." He seemed to laugh to himself.
Six- Competitive.
Patton started gushing about the experience from hanging out with the fellow as we put our trays away.
I smiled at him as we walked back to the dorm, and went inside. It was fairly quiet except for the small clatter of tools in Logan's room, and clinking of... something in Stormcloud's room.
I immediately became conscience of the fact that he didn't eat dinner and I questioned if I should ask him about it.. Maybe he ate out or something?
I decided against it.
Patton and I sat on the couch and turned on the TV, glad tomorrow was Friday, then we could get a break on the weekend.
I shot up suddenly. "We should all hang out this weekend!"
Patton nodded enthusiastically. "I can invite Emille too!"
I didn't know who he was, but I was always down to meet a new person. "Yeah! We should go... Skating? NO! LAZER TAG!!"
Patton did a small, enthusiastic gasp. "YES!!!!"
We got to planning and after a short while, grew tired and went off to bed, saying a quick goodnight. I would tell Stormcloud about the plan during theatre, and Patton would tell Logan when they got home the following day.
...
I woke up with a groan, questioning opening the window beside my bed and throwing myself out of it.
I'd be able to sleep at the hospital, with a couple injuries... Auditions were Monday though, so maybe not the best idea.
I rolled out of bed and hit the floor, groaning but not due to pain, more because of the fact I was tired and wanted to be in bed, but I still got dressed and made myself breakfast, grabbing my bag by the door and slinging it around my shoulders.
