I groaned as I woke up, light flooding into the room and making me curse myself for not shutting the curtains when I had fallen asleep. I curled into something warm beside me on my bed and I sighed, instantly freezing up in realization.

I don't have to shut my curtains, because I leave them shut.

This wasn't my room. Which means the thing I'm cuddling into- Oh no.

I opened my eyes and peered up at the sleeping Roman, gulping thickly. My arm was around his torso and his around mine. But he was firmly holding onto me. Like, I couldn't move.

I attempted to squirm out of his grasp but failed and opted to just stay comfortable, which actually wasn't so hard. I wouldn't say it to his face, but he smelt like strawberries. It was kind of relaxing and I wasn't so stiff as I calmed down.

His arm tightened around me and I heard him yawn, immediately pretending I was asleep. He huffed and pulled me closer, to which I held back a squeak.

And then he stiffened up like I had moments before, seemingly noticing I was there and not wanting to wake me up.

I pretended to wake up, yawning and rubbing my eyes. I also pretended to be surprised, as I looked up at him and squeaked, allowing all the surprise I had experienced moments before to come out.

I blinked a couple times, and we both stared at each other, blushing heavily. We eventually untangled ourselves and I cleared my throat, glancing at the laptop, still playing Steven Universe.

Roman was quiet for once, glancing around the room, and looking for something to say. I didn't know what else to say also, so I just opted to move to my room.

I attempted to stand up, and Roman looked at me, eyebrows raised in a quizzical manner. I pretended not to notice him, and stood up on shaky legs, smiling triumphantly once I was up.

He noticed how weak my legs were and smirked. "Good job. Just wait.... Three."

I gulped as I took a step, my knees shaking even more as I wobbled towards the door, confused on why he was counting.

"Two.."

I rolled my eyes and took another step, my legs threatening to give out on me.

"One."

I took another step and lost my balance, falling to the floor with a thud and a groan. Roman got up from the bed and stood over me.

"You can't get better from a three hour nap dork."

He leaned over and picked me up like he had earlier, causing my cheeks to turn red, but I said nothing. He placed me back on his bed and went back to the episode of Steven Universe we were on earlier.

"You also said I could take care of you. So I'll go get some soup."

I sat up instantly, not wanting him to have to go all the way to a gas station just to get me some soup because I decided not to sleep for.... wait. When did I get a full-night's sleep last? That's besides the point. He shouldn't have to waste time or money on me.

"Oh- Uh, it's fine." I smiled awkwardly and he raised an eyebrow, spinning on his heel and grabbing his keys.

"I'll be back in about twenty minutes. Try not to die until then."

He was already gone.

I groaned as I face planted into one of his pillows, blushing as I remembered how we had woken up, oddly surprised I had.... enjoyed- it?

No. What the heck Virgil. You're supposed to be getting rid of your feelings.

...but it's so hard.
