T R A Y•
October 26th.
"How I look?" I smiled, twirling for my mother as she sat at the kitchen table. Rolling her eyes, she stood as she took me into her arms. Closing my eyes I relaxed in her embrace as she ran her fingers over my fresh line up where my hairline rested. Pulling away, she folded my collar down tight, and unbuttoned my jacket. Stepping close, she inhaled deeply.
"Come with me." Waving me over, she walked me upstairs to the bedroom her & my Father shared together. Reaching in the drawer on my father's side of the bed, she faced me with a bottle of cologne in her grasp.
"This was the cologne your Father wore on our first real date. I was stuck after that." Smirking when she sprayed my collar and across my chest, I nodded my head in approval.
"If this doesn't lock her in? Then you just don't have game son." Laughing along with my mother , I pressed my hand against my chest pretending to be offended.
"I got game ma!" I insisted, following her back downstairs.
"Yeahhhh right. Well I'll tell you what son, that game needs to bring home a daughter in law okay? This better be your wife some day." She fretted, pushing me out the door as she handed me a bouquet.
"I made them especially for you to give to her. Now have fun and use protection! Don't make me a grandma until you make an honest woman out of her." Grinning , I nodded before jogging to my car.
"Oh tray! Use your fathers car." Feeling my mouth fall open, I struggled not to scream like a school girl. Instead I kept my cool as we swapped keys.
"Thank you! I'll bring it back in one piece." Kissing her cheek, I slid into the driver seat as I did 20 down the street. Once out of ear shot, I revved the engine and flew onto the highway. Laughing to myself, I yelled out the window as I climbed to 100 mph. Thankfully for me nothing negative happened , and I made it to the loft in one piece. Locking the car doors, I looked up at the tall building before pulling the clear glass doors open. Stepping in the nicely decorated lobby, I gave the man my last name as I opened my hand for the loft key. My grandfather owned this entire building, and the mini lofts within it.
I still had to pay my share though.
$300 for the week was not bad though. Airi didn't know it yet, but we weren't leaving until the first. I wanted her to myself when we came back from Mariah's birthday party. Unlocking the door, I stepped inside coming face to face with Nique, Carmen & Mariah.
"We just finished up." They smiled in Union, as they dropped the other key for this loft in my hand. Rubbing my hands together, I followed them around as they showed me what they had done. This was Carmen's idea surprisingly. After her and Airi's spittle they haven't spoke since. Carmen realized she was wrong for her outburst and wanted to help me in doing this for Airi. I assumed she would apologize when she saw her later on. I'd put a good word in for her though.
"I can't believe you two hid this from us still." Nique grumbled, slapping me on my arm. Mariah just shook her head and walked into the hall behind Carmen.
"Let ya know how it goes." They smiled before shutting the door behind them. Feeling my phone buzz, I looked down feeling my mood improve even more.
