Wattpad glitched , duplicated this chapter and then deleted the entire chapter I wrote up. 🙄 So that's why updates have been slow.

T R A Y•Running my hands through my hair, I sighed and lifted the phone back up.
"C'mon! Don't be a buzz kill Tracy. Take some more pictures!" Struggling not to show how agitated I really was, I did as she asked. We woke up earlier this morning, and I mean early.
Ate breakfast, finished unpacking and got dressed.
That was an hour ago.
The other half was consumed by me filling my tank and now taking pictures of her. I guess she was trying to be an influencer , and she needed the perfect pictures.
So she says.
She legit did the same pose every ten photos. I was about to kill her. Her phone dinged, and I raised it to see who texted her when she rammed into me snatching her phone away.
"Girl!-"
"Privacy!" Taking a deep breath, I took that time to relax as she texted the person back. Whoever it was had her grinning ear to ear. She insisted she come alone with me, not wanting any friends to tag along.
Usually she was trying to invite the entire city, but today she settled for just my time and attention.
"Can we go now?" Gawking at her as she slid in the car, I smacked my lips and slid in with her.
"You're killing me." I grunted, twisting around to watch the street as I reversed.
"I'm not trying to, but all is fair in love and war." Ignoring the emphasis she put on love, I asked her something I had been grueling over since this all happened.
"So... when you called Airi for help. Did she come alone?" Halting in her texting, she stiffly turned to face me.
One thing about destiny is she hated lying.
Infact she couldn't lie.
She'd start sweating, stuttering and if pressured enough she'd vomit if she lied. Her guilty conscience was a beast.
"Why is that something you want to know? I thought you didn't care about her? And didn't you tell me to stay in a child's place?" She frowned, resuming her texting.
Nice try but deflecting won't help.
"Do you want to move to North Carolina now? Or finish out the year and have a choice." Smacking her lips, she folded her arms across her chest.
That's what I thought.
"No she wasn't alone, her friend Malaki was there."
"And where did she meet this friend?" I pondered unconsciously gripping the steering wheel.
"I don't know? He lives next door to her old house, that's all I know. But I didn't witness anything inappropriate. Look Tray if you're not going to do anything to fix-"
"It's not on me to fix anything-"
"But maybe it is to be welcoming and meet her half way. Blocking her doesn't exactly help her to try and apologize or want to. Even if she's in the wrong. I'm just saying." She shrugged.
"Get out and go get our tickets." Rolling her eyes, she took the $20 from my hand and ran from the car. It was packed as expected, so I jumped the curb and parked against the grass before getting out. The valet nodded to me, and continuing smoking the cigarette he had.
