"What's wrong with Colgate?"

"Man that shit AINT got shit on Crest! Colgate is like child's play! Crest will have your shit minty fresh. If my tongue don't burn from the toothpaste ion want it!"

"Nigga you wilding!" Shaking my head, I absentmindedly listened to my boyfriends conversation as he talked with his friends. I lived with him off campus. He drove himself and me to school everyday. It was definitely a nice set up and change from home, but I won't sit here and lie saying I didn't miss home.

But that shit was gone now.

I never in a million years, would've imagined my Mother would've sold the house and moved into a bigger one with another man. That was her problem, she could never just be real and upfront about her intentions. It took me a while to realize it, but they put everything on Airi.

But that just pissed me off more.

Why did she have to bare all of that alone? Did they really feel like Damon and I couldn't handle knowing our father had cancer? I mean damn, even Juliet knew about Brian before we did. Rather they meant for that to be known by her or not.

This shit was just so complicated for no reason, and sick. My Mother texted me non stop, to the point I decided to block her number for the time being. I kept in contact with Ju, and Airi from time to time but that was it. For awhile Airi was going through some issues with Tray, but not to long ago they rekindled there romance. I don't know why they even bothered.

They couldn't leave each other alone, and that was okay.

"Babe, food ready?" Shaking myself from my dysfunctional thoughts, I turned the burner off and nodded yes. Quickly assembling some plates for him and his friends, I rushed back into the kitchen for cups and poured them all some water. They all preferred different juices or pops, so I'd leave that up to them to figure out.

Meanwhile I cleaned the small kitchen of his off campus apartment, while they ate and switched the tv over to YouTube. This was there only break from the game, but it was annoying sometimes. I know he felt content and centered having me here while they hung out, but I still got little to no attention. It was aggravating. Sighing softly to myself, I grabbed my book bag and keys.

As usual he didn't notice I was gone, until I made it to my destination. Dropping my book bag and keys, I peeled my jacket from my body and my sweat pants from my hips.

"Ready?" Nodding to him, I slid my rings from my fingers and met him halfway on the shinny wooden floors under our feet. Gripping his hands, I twisted and twirled my body as X Ambassadors voice vibrated to his soft song Unsteady hummed in the background. My partner and I were dancing to this at the talent show, as a part of our final.

I was majoring in Dance, my original goal was to be a dance teacher. But now I was debating trying to be a back up or even a lead dancer for some big names. When practice was over, we sat in a comfortable silence, eating the snacks we brought covered in sweat and breathing hard. This was the norm for us, and often times we found something else to do after. But today wasn't going to be that, not after what I was texted.

"I'll catch you after break." Smiling I knocked my knuckles against his. Slinging my bag over my shoulder, I stopped when he blocked the door. He didn't move, but dove into my embrace and hugged me tightly to him. He was acting like he'd never see me again. I laughed nervously and shrugged him loose, patting his arm.
