"What?! All this over some damn steak!" Rubbing at my temples, I blocked my mom from getting to destiny who stayed upstairs.

"What do you know about keeping a teenager in line? She's sweet and quiet for now, but that changes. Are you responsible enough to look after her when we aren't here? You'll have to take over her completely, because I'm not going to be responsible for her when she's hours away. There's no possible way, so realize what shoes you're stepping into before you ask for those shoes." My Father's deep voiced interrupted. He didn't even look up from his show, just spoke.

"William!! I know damn well you're not considering this?! This boy is just barely out the house his damn self. You want him to expose Des to that? He has Airi over there like they're mar-"

"I know how we raised him, but that's none of our concern what he does outside of our house. If destiny comes back a mess because of him, he knows he'll have to answer to it. We leave in another week, so you better start moving now." Turning the tv off, he came to stand besides me.

"When she finishes school, she's going to have make some hard decisions on her own. You can't protect her from everything, but you'll learn that the hard way." Leaving me standing there with my mother, he left our house.

"Stupid! Just fucking stupid! I hope Airi has somewhere to go, because you only have a one bedroom condo dumbass!" Rolling my eyes, I pulled out my phone as I walked back upstairs. Pushing her door open as the phone rang, I motioned for her to start packing. What my parents didn't know? My lease was up on my condo, and although I didn't want to move? Clearly it would be necessary to give my sister a better situation to dwell in.

Later in the evening•

"Bae? What's going on?" Stopping midway in what I was doing, I made eye contact with Des who rushed by and went into my room. Jumping when the sound of the box she came in with, dropped on the floor I turned to her as she kicked my door shut.

"I'm moving Des in...but come here." Skeptically, she followed me to the balcony of my condo. Leaning against the opposite railing as she slid the door shut, we both watched Des creep out and slowly start to move things in from my car and into the living room again.

"What's going on?" She questioned again, her breaths heavy with anxiety as she starred at me.

"Look. My parents are moving to Nc to take care of my grandparents full time. There selling the crib and bouncing next week. I guess Sage is going to live on campus and figure shit out when she graduates. Her boyfriend came and got her shit forever ago, that's why she hasn't been home. Des told me that she kept getting into it with my folks, and they kicked her out several times." Gawking at that, she glanced inside the condo to stare at des as she sat with the boxes she brought in.

"Shit man, and I thought my shit was heavy." I just looked at her and then down at the traffic flying past. I didn't want to say what I had to say next, but I felt like my parents were right.

"Airi...I'm thinking about leaving this condo, so Des can have her own room. But even if I do that Airi... I need to have..more space from you." Hearing her mumble something to herself, I stood up straight and turned to face her.

"And by space you mean?" She pushed, her face coiled with annoyance. Damn, she must've had a bad day already.

"Like. My sister has been raised to see a two parent household. A married household at that. What my pops said stuck with me." I admitted, despite how hard that truly was. I mean what child, no matter the age wanted to admit there parents had a point?

"And just what the fuck was that?" She fumed, folding her arms across her chest.

"Look. Just relax, he didn't say anything negative about you Airi. I can come see you and you can visit, but I just don't want Des to think it's okay to have someone over all late night or staying the night if they're not married-"
