"This is my student," Faith said at the station. "This was just an honest mistake. They won't do this ever again."

"We caught them at an underground street dance battle." The officer said. "So many people get hurt at these places. They were involved in a street fight. They can leave as soon as a parent comes."

"Evan, Yusuf will never be able to dance again if his parents find out," Faith said low enough for me to hear. "The event is less than a week away, and now all this is happening."

"I'm sure you can convince him," I said. "Try talking to him again."

Faith nodded her head.

"I take the guarantee that something like this won't happen again," Faith said. "These kids are really good. They love dance. They just ended up there by mistake. If their parents discover this, the consequences won't benefit them. I have less than a week to prepare them for a dance event, and if their parents find out, they won't be able to participate in this event. You will never see them at something like this again. Please, give us one more chance."

"It was just an honest mistake," I said. "They're kids, and they made a mistake. It won't happen again. We ask that you don't involve their parents in this and let them off with a warning."

The officer sighed, thinking for a little bit.

"Do you have anything to prove they are your students?" He asked after a while.

Faith took their papers from the folder she was holding and handed the documents to him.

He silently looked over both documents.

"You're Faith Davis?" He asked, looking up from the documents.

Faith nodded her head.

"Can I see an identification card?" He asked.

Faith removed her ID from her bag, handing it to him.

He matched her ID with the name and information on the papers.

"Okay, I'll let these kids go with you for today." He said, handing the papers and ID back to Faith.

Faith smiled, taking the papers and ID.

"I'm only letting this go because we didn't see anything after looking into their backgrounds."  The officer said. "Normally, kids at this age are reckless. Taking that into consideration, I'm willing to let this go. However, if I ever see them again at a place like this, there won't be a warning."

"This won't happen again," Faith said. "Thank you so much for understanding us."

The officer nodded his head, sending someone to release the kids.
