"Faith, I ain't seen you last night," Rashida said. "When you come in?"

I held my head as it felt heavy.

Before I could finish my thought, someone was at the door.

"Girl, get it!" Rashida exclaimed. "I ain't goin'."

I sighed, getting the door.

"Faith, did you see the news?" Mary asked, walking in.

"No, why?" I asked. "What happened?"

"Rashida, turn on the news!"

"Uh-uh, girl, I'm in the middle of some-"

Mary snatched the remote out of her hands, switching on the news.

"Ay!" Rashida exclaimed. "You is jus' bein' rude now."

Mary ignored her, putting up the volume.

'I'm Lindsey Russo on Channel 45 News, and I'm reporting live about the death of the son of one of the best lawyers in San Diego. Early this morning, Ray Wyatt, the son of lawyer Jeff Wyatt, was found dead.'

"What!?" I exclaimed. "What are they saying? Ray...How can Ray be..."

A tear flowed out of my eye as I looked down.

Mary shook her head, looking back at the TV.

-' Ray's mother was the one who came across the body. It was reported that she walked in on blood all over the bed and the body lying there. After the autopsy reports came out, it was revealed that he was murdered last night and that too in the most brutal way. Ray Wyatt was 21 years old and had his whole life ahead of him. According to our sources, he was said to have been attending San Diego University to become a lawyer like his father. The San Diego Police Department is investigating this murder mystery, and we hope the murderer is caught very soon and justice is served. "Mary, how's this possible!?" I exclaimed. "He was just...He was...Oh my god, he was just fine yesterday...In front of all of us...He was right there...We all saw him just yesterday...Then how can he..."

"I know Faith," she said. "I'm still shocked. I can't believe what I'm hearing. It's all over the news. It's everywhere. I'm shocked at how all this happened. I still can't believe that Ray is dead."

So much has happened in the last 24 hours. Everything else is still fresh, but I can't remember what happened to me last night.
