When Jake and I got to the office, I saw news reporters and police officers everywhere.

Some of the employees are standing outside as the police are getting their statements.

As soon as we exited the car, news reporters rushed at us.

They started to ask question after question.

"Mr. Owens, we all want to know what you have to say about Matthew Keller's suicide," Lindsey Russo asked.

"Did you just find out about the suicide, or were you aware that something has been going on?" Another reporter asked.

"As the boss, have you ever pressured Matthew Keller or done anything for him to take a step like this?" Someone else asked from the crowd of reporters.

"How is it possible for an employee to commit suicide during work hours?" Lindsey Russo asked. "What could have been so bad that he took this step in the break room?"

"Where were you when all of this was happening?" Another reporter asked. "How did it even happen?"

We ignored them, trying to make our way to the office building.

There are crime scene tapes all around the building.

The police let us come through and stopped the reporters.

"Mr. Owens, I'm Officer Javier Rodriguez," the officer said. "I'm the officer in charge of this case. We got the statement of all your employees. We need more information from you to figure out what happened here."

"What do you need to figure out?" I asked. "And why are my employees being questioned? If he killed himself, that's on him. What does that have to do with me or my employees?"

"Well, it's just odd that an employee would commit suicide while on the clock. It's not as simple as it looks."

"So what then? Are you trying to say that someone here killed him?"

"We don't know that. It's clear from everything that Matthew Keller committed suicide. However, the circumstances surrounding his suicide make us wonder what happened to Mr. Keller. Think about it yourself. This is your company and employee. Doesn't it all seem odd to you?"
