"I just hate him!" I exclaimed. "I hate Evan Owens so much!"

"Girl, please," Rashida said.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"If you hate him so much, why is he affectin' you this much?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, hate is some kinda emotion, too, right?"

"Rashida, if you can't say anything to help me, then don't talk. You of all people should understand—"

"I do, but all I'm sayin' is jus' that wha' he does shouldn't affect you."

"How can it not affect me after what he did to my friend and her family? What am I supposed to feel if not anger?"

"Ion kno' bout' that, but I kno' what I felt when I saw his fine a**! Girl, he is damn hot! You never told me yo boo was so fine. You always made him seem like a villain."

I gave her a stern look, sitting at the table and crossing my arms over my chest.

"Whatchu' lookin' at!?" she exclaimed. "I'm jus' spittin' facts! He is damn fine! A whole damn snack, I tell ya! Mmm, god bless his parents!"

I shook my head in disappointment.

She sighed, smiling.

Whatever Evan has done to Susana and her family is so wrong.

Susana is a great person and doesn't deserve to endure what he has put her through.

When I went back to Iowa, I met Susana at a Nolte audition.

That's when we got to know each other, and she told me about herself.

She worked hard to get to the audition, but sadly, the audition ended too soon that day, and she never got to show her talent to everyone.

However, she did dance before me, showing me the kind of performance she wanted to present to the Nolte Administration.

She comes from a poor and small family.

She's just an ordinary girl struggling to keep her family together.

She has a father who's very sick and needs treatment.

With difficulty, she established a dance studio where she gave lessons to various children. That's her source of income, which is how she supports her family.

Every single day of her life, she wakes up to a new battle.

Besides the studio, she was also trying to get a scholarship from the Nolte Academy to dance and finish school.

That way, she would get a well-paying job and fix her family's situation.

Everything was difficult, but it was still good because they managed to get through it all together.

Until Evan Owens came along and ruined her entire life.

She called me out of nowhere, panicking and crying.

She told me over the phone that he came to her with an offer, but then he came to destroy her studio when she refused.

That's why I went to help her and her students.

If that professor hadn't held me back, I would have made it on time to save Susana's studio from destruction.

"Susana and her family wouldn't have gone through all that if I had made it on time," I said.
