I've been anxious all morning. I made it through all my classes with difficulty and couldn't focus on anything.

Evan had assured me that he would fix things for my kids. He said that he would have a solution to this mess by morning.

I don't know if he has figured something out by now. I have to start dance class in an hour or so, and I still haven't heard from him.

What am I supposed to tell them? Especially if I don't hear from Evan before dance class starts.

I got to the benches outside my last class and set my stuff down.

I pulled my phone out of my purse to see if there were any calls or messages from Evan, but there was still nothing.

Now, this is just making me nervous, as Evan should have said something by now.

Could it be that he wasn't able to find a solution?

He did seem confused about it last night. It seemed like he didn't know what he was going to do. He wouldn't tell me what he planned to do about it, but I could tell from his face that he was in a dilemma.

I know and understand that this will help Susana and her family. However, I have a responsibility toward these kids. They have worked way too hard for us to give up without putting up a fight.

They were devastated when I informed them that Evan's studio had been canceled. They were all so upset and angry that they had worked hard for no reason over the past couple of weeks.

Someone tapped on my shoulder, pulling me out of my thoughts.

My eyes widened when I saw that it was Evan.

"Evan, what happened?" I asked immediately.

He sighed, taking a seat.

"Is everything okay?" I asked. "You haven't said anything since last night. No calls or text messages. Were you able to figure something out? I've been waiting all morning for you. You were also so stressed out last night. You seemed unsure where to start or what to do. It had me wondering if you were even able to do anything. On top of that, class starts soon, and they expect me to give them some good news after everything that happened yesterday. It's making me more anxious because I keep thinking about what I am supposed to say to them. What can I even possibly say to them to make things better? I still can't believe all of this is happening to them. I feel so bad that I can't help them in any way. What if we can't find any solution at all? Then all of their hard work would go to waste, and I don't want that to happen to them after everything they have been through to prepare themselves for this event."

"Can I talk now?" Evan asked after I was done.

"What do you mean? I've been waiting to hear from you all morning. Why aren't you saying anything yet?"
