"I'm home!" I shouted through my house. No one answered. I found a note stuck to the staircase railing. "Out shopping be home soon hon :)" I smiled at the note. I tossed my stuff on my kitchen stool.

I heard a noise coming from upstairs, and what can I say... I'm curious! I tip toe to the stairs and listen more. It sounded like talking, but I couldn't understand it. "Quit ease dropping!" my brother shouted. "You scared me!" I hollered back.

"Come here." I called him. He cut the corner and saw my bruised and dented face. "Crissy!" he tossed his phone on his bed and trampled down the stairs. First, he hugged me because I hadn't seen him in 2 months. Then he studied my face.

"Hmm, you get into a chick fight at school?" he tattered with my bandages. "No!" I laughed and pushed him away. "Why are you home so early anyways?" I asked while leading him to the kitchen. "Uh. Well why are you home?" he changed the subject as I tossed him an apple.

"My face should explain enough." I pointed. "Oh. Cool. Well anyways." he trailed off to the den. "Not so fast!" I followed him. "Why are you home mister!" I pushed him on the couch and plopped beside him. "Because too much crap was happening at school so I simply left." he smiled.

"Congrats." I giggled. He sighed and carved into the apple. I sat tiredly against the warmth of my couch. I felt a little security in my home. "I'm gonna take a nap." I lay down across my couch. That's where I slowly drifted off. Remembering Liam.

I remembered how he saved me from having a bigger gash in my head then I do now. Why did he do that? How did he know that was going to happen?
