Chapter 4

"I'm home". Kat announced while entering the house.

Her hands were filled with bags full of groceries.

She went to the kitchen and dropped everything on the counter.

Leaving the t. v she was watching, Lilith entered the kitchen to greet her.

"Welcome, mum. You home early".  "Are we having a party"? I laughed while pointing at the groceries.

" Well, the credit goes to your brother, Hunter". She smiled.

" What's up with him? "

" Surprise, surprise, guess who's bringing his fiance over for dinner? ".

" I'm definitely surprised but happy for him.  " Never thought I'd see the day". I laughed.

" Oh, common, don't be like that".

" What, you know I'm right, mum. It's not even news to everyone".

"Yeah yeah, after all, my boy is taking responsibility now".

" Everything is so sudden, meanwhile, Jedrek and Jade would also be present tonight". Mum said tiringly.

" Oh, momma dear". I sympathized jokingly.

" I need to start working on the foods".

" Good thing you have me" I assured.

" Yeah, Cara Mia, good thing you are home". She said feeling relieved.

Half an hour later.

Leyla came back from school. As soon as she entered, she was filled with different mouth watering aroma.

Tracing the smell towards the kitchen, she  met a funny scene.

Kat and Lilith were cooking, at the same time swaying their hips and using cooking utensils as their musical instruments.

Kat was trying to whine her waist while failing miserably.

This caused leyla to laughed so hard and made her presence known.

"Bravo, bravo, bravo, mum". She clapped mockingly.

"Thank you, baby". Wiping away faked tears.

"You were quite the dancer, mum". I teased

"So, what's the occasion"? Leyla asked curiously.

" Hunter is bringing home his fiance" I rushed beating mum to it.

" No fucking way" leyla gasped dramatically.

"Language, young lady" mum scolded.

Leyla rolled her eyes playfully and apologized.

"And the iceberg, Jedrek and Jade would be coming too" I said smiling.

"OMG! Tonight is gonna be interesting" leyla said excited.

" I can't wait to see the girl". I said.

"What if she's like a snob " Leyla snickered.

" That's true. Hunter's taste is off the grid". I said with a frown.

" Girls, quit talking about your brother and his fiance that way" She chided.

"I'm sure she's going to be a responsible one" she added as an afterthought.

At 6:30pm, we were already setting the dining and all.

Hearing the door bell, I rushed to open the door. Standing outside was Jedrek.
