Chapter 7

"I swear, Lil, you should have been there". Ley exaggerated.

"I'm sure I didn't miss anything that interesting". Rolling my eyes.

We were in the car, driving to the beach because why not?

It's the weekend and a sunny one.

Cranking up the radio volume, ley put her feet on the dashboard.

Seeing my look, she dropped her legs while huffing.

Cardi b - bodak yellow came up on the radio.

Squealing, we started belting out lyrics at the top of our voices.

This is expensive, this is red bottom,

Stopping at a red light.

Not knowing we already had audiences.

Next to us was a sleek black BMW.

Occupying it were 4 drop dead gorgeous guys.

They were all amused by our little show and did little in hiding it.

The blond one tried flirting with us. Seeing Leyla embarrassed and shy, I rolled up the window.

Luckily, the green light came on and I practically zoomed off.

"Why did u do that" ley whined

"Do what"? I feigned ignorance

"Ignoring those guys. There were hot"

"Yeah, and I saved you from a lifelong embarrassment."

" What, no". She denied

" Could have fooled me. Besides, they're way too old for you" I laughed much to her annoyance.

" So, I'm 18"

" Would be 18 in 6 months" i reminded her.

" Urgh. You are impossible". She faced the window.

We got to the beach in record time.

Climbing out of the car, I put on my shades.

The beach wasn't too crowded. And that's a good thing.

I smiled.

We headed to a secluded area and spread our mat.

Settling down my things, I took off my dress.

I was now in a two piece hot red bikini.

Ley was also wearing a black lacy two piece.

We settled down on the mat with shades on.

Ley laid on her back, eyes closed, earpiece in. Already lost to the world around her.

I was lying on my stomach while reading a novel.

Fifteen minutes later, I helped ley applied sunscreen to her body.

Getting ready to do the same on my body.

A shadow fell over me.

Looking up, I saw a guy.

Holy shit. Not just any guy. One of the guys from the BMW.

Looking at him this close, I realized he was way handsome than earlier.

I was freaking inside.

Why is this happening here, right now, with Ley here.

Fuck! This Adonis is waiting for me to reply.

I think he said something but I couldn't hear.

I was mentally panicking.

I need to leave here. I need to leave.

Wait, running away will make me look weird.

Ley was also staring daggers at me to say something.

Okay, okay. Lilith, you can do this without slipping and fucking everything.

His charming smile is not helping either.

Just go. Why is he still here.

OMG he's sitting down and I'm looking at him like a weirdo.

"Hi" he said again.

His deep voice made me tingled everywhere.

I realized his hand was outstretched.

Shaking it nervously, "hello" I said in a whisper.
