"Earth to Ace! Come in Ace!" Gigi was waving a hand in my face to try and get my attention but my thoughts were definitely elsewhere. I couldn't lie and say that something in my heart was telling me that I was doing the wrong thing by trying to stay away from that man. Something was always pulling me and my thoughts towards him. I just didn't know if that was gonna bring me good things or trouble. Perhaps both. "Ace, I'm about to slap the piss out of you if you don't come back to fucking Earth."

"What? I was paying attention! I heard you!" No I didn't.

"No you didn't. Because if you did, you would've heard that there was a delivery for you and you would've gone to go get it because you wouldn't have wanted Gerard to see it."

Oh shit.

"Fuck! Why didn't you get it?" There was no reason for me to even be getting packages here. I didn't order anything, but if something was coming for me, I sure as hell wanted it.

"Don't worry, I got it for you. You didn't have to sign or anything. You're real lucky no one is in here right now and that Gerard is probably taking his daily jerk in his office." We didn't know if he actually jerked off in his office or not. It just seemed like at least once per shift, he would disappear into his office for 20-30 minutes and we would hear nothing from him. "Why did you put this down as your address anyway?"

"I didn't. You know good and damn well I don't have money to be ordering unnecessary things. And anything that has to be ordered that I can't pick up in a store is pretty unnecessary."

"So...do you know who it's from?" She was looking back and forth between me and the package now and it was kind of freaking me out."

"No, why?"

"Because, you fucking idiot, why in the blue fuck do you have random packages coming to your place of work and you don't know what it is or who it's from?" She was right.

Holy shit. She was right. This could be a fucking bomb and I was just going to open it. "You're right. I should throw it out, huh?"

"Hell no! I wanna know what's in there!" Now who's the fucking idiot? I swear if I didn't love her, I would hate her.

"Fine, you wanna see what's inside. You open it."

She shrugged. "Well look, I don't really feel like going outside to open this. And if I go outside and it just so happens to be a bomb, I'm gonna blow up anyway, so I might as well open it up in here."

"And kill me too? Sure, that sounds logical."

"My mom always asked me if I would expect my friends to jump off a cliff just because I did. I think my answer is still no, only because I would drag them down with me." She said this while she cut through the tape of the package before pulling open the sides.

"Oh. Uh...well, it's not a bomb. At least I hope it's not. It would be a shitty way to hide it."

"Well, what the hell is it?" She was killing me. And I was still kind of scared to look in the box and have my face blown off.

"It's food..." She backed away from the box, allowing me to look inside for myself.

It was food. A lot of colorful food. And a couple takeout boxes. And a note.

Just because I don't like the thought of you walking around not eating. You seem like you like to cook, but I ordered some meals just in case you don't have time. So there's no excuse for you to starve yourself, accidental or not. Eat.

- A

"Who is it from?"

"Uhh..it's from Aiden. He bought me food." Saying it out loud made me feel all warm and tingly inside. No one has ever bought me food before, never probably even thought about it and this man I knew for less than a week cared enough to buy me enough food to last me a week.
