AUTHOR'S NOTE (PLEASE READ}: Wattpad has deleted my original story. I am working to get it reposted, but I do not know if it will. I have saved chapters up to the very last one that was posted and will put them back up. However, it's very disheartening to have to start all over again. I lost all the hilarious comments you guys left on my story. I think that's the part that frustrates me the most, losing that reader/writer interaction. But  I was also at 1 million reads, something that I was extremely proud of. And that is gone too. I will put the story back up for now, up until that last chapter, but I'm considering being done with Wattpad and if they try anything else, I really will be. This just happened to another author that I really love and it sucks.

Full disclosure, there may be some errors that I previously corrected back in here again. When one of you tells me a mistake I made, i fix it in the app, not in my backup. There also may be some cringe/corny lines/dialogue back.  Sorry. I'll fix it eventually.

Thanks guys.

"Ace, you've got another order to finish before you can go home!" My boss, Gerard, yelled out to me from the back office.

He was a grade-A asshole.

"I already clocked out!" This happened too many times a week for me not to know what was coming next.

"I don't care! You still have two minutes before you're supposed to clock out anyway. You won't get paid this week if you don't take that last order and I'm not playing today! You know I'm not the one!" He was an infuriating flamboyant gay man. There's nothing wrong with being flamboyant. He just pisses me off.

I turned on my heel, smiling at the customer who was waiting for her order and mouthed a silent, "I'm sorry". I didn't mean to ruin her dining experience with me and my boss going back and forth. It wasn't her fault.

"Where's the order going?" I asked one of my coworkers, Gigi. She was the sweetest little thing ever. She sighed and rolled her eyes.

She didn't like our boss either.

"All the way out to Forest Hills. I'm sorry, Ace."

I lifted one corner of my mouth and shook my head in a manner that showed there was nothing I could do about it. "It's cool. It's always some bullshit. Who the fuck orders a pizza for deliver at 12 in the morning anyway?"

She shook her head. "Let me know when you get home okay. I wanna make sure you're safe."

She knew I lived in a shitty area of town that wasn't the safest place to be. It was a very high possibility that I could disappear one day if I kept living there.

But that was my life. And I had no other choice.

My long hair blew in the wind as I made my way to the car with this disgusting pizza. What kind of crazed animal puts pineapples on a pizza? It's not right.

I laid the pizza on the passenger seat and started the drive towards the high-end part of town, the complete opposite side of the city from where I lived.

"Oh shit!" I had zoned out and almost completely missed the turn into the subdivision that I needed to get to. I was too damn tired to be taking orders all the way out here. I was probably gonna have to sleep on the side of the road tonight. It's not like I've never done it before. Hell, I've even lived in my car before.

I'm not sure if my current living situation was better or worse than that. How sad.

Holy fuck.

These houses were huge. Not huge, enormous. Like gigantic. Like bigger than big. Like take the biggest house you can imagine, and double it. And that's half of the houses I was looking at. No, I'm kidding, but gah damn, they were humongous.
