Ch. 11 - New Home

Charlotte POV

We just made it to Hope and Kelley's house in Washington. I guess our house now too. We don't have much stuff, but Hope said as soon as we get settled in that we can go shopping.

It's a beautiful, white 2-story home with a wrap around porch. One the main floor there is a bathroom, a nice sized living room, a huge kitchen and a den. On the second floor there is the master bedroom and bath, along with 3 other bedrooms and another bathroom. Hope and Kelley said that Liv and I could have our own rooms if we want, but we aren't too sure yet.

Hope and Kelley left us to get settled in upstairs so Liv and I are going to use this time to figure out sleeping arrangements.

"Whatcha think Livie? Do we want to continue sharing or take our own rooms?" She twiddled her thumbs a little bit before answering me.

"Would you be mad if I said we should take separate rooms?" I shook my head before walking over to sit next to her.

"Of course not. We've had to share a room our whole lives. It's normal for you to want some space. Back then we didn't want it because we wanted to protect each other, but we don't have to do that here." She nodded and you could tell she was holding back tears.

"Livie, don't cry. You are going to be right next door to me. It's not like we are moving apart! Besides, anytime any of our aunts stay with us you'll be bunking with me." She finally let out a laugh.

"You're right. I'm glad you aren't mad at me." I shook my head, "I could never be mad at you Liv. I love you too damn much."

She hugged me and said, "I love you too sis." After our hug we heard Hope yell that it was time to go so we made our way downstairs and to the car.

Olivia POV

We are going shopping! I haven't been shopping since before mom died so I'm really excited.

Once we get to the mall, Kelley and I take off in one direction while Hope and Char go a different.

"Alright, where to first kid?" Kelley asks me.

"Can we go to Forever 21 Mama?" Kelley nods before deciding she wants to race me so we take off running towards the store. I of course beat her.

"Mama! How on earth did I beat you even though I've never been here?" Kelley is out of breath so she hasn't responded yet.

"Because child, you are freakishly fast and I don't know. You got lucky." That caused me to laugh which made Kelley playfully shove me.

Once we finish getting clothes, we head over to Bed, Bath, and Beyond to get bedding and decorations. My bedroom theme is different shades of purple and bears. I know, kind of childlike, but whatever. Mom had gotten me a stuffed bear when I was little, so it's a little piece of her with me. Unfortunately, Dad destroyed the bear after mom died.

Once we finish shopping, we meet up with Hope and Char in the food court. I see Hope first and immediately run over to her. "Hi Mom!"

Hope grunts a little by the impact when I practically tackled her in a hug. "Hi sweetie, did you have fun shopping?"

I told her yes and then proceeded to show her everything Kelley and I got. Then Charlotte pulled out what she got. She went with different shades of blue for her room and elephants. When I saw the stuffed Elephant, we gave each other knowing glances since she saw my stuffed Bear.

Hope spoke up after we got done showing everyone what we got, "so girls, why did you both get a stuffed animal and have said animal as a prominent theme in your rooms?"

I knew this would be hard for Charlotte since she was closer with mom, so I spoke up. "Our mom had given us both a stuffed animal for our 5th birthday. Char got a stuffed elephant and I got a stuffed bear. When she died, Dad destroyed everything and anything that reminded him of her."

Hope gave me another hug while Kelley hugged Char. Kelley then gave me one as well while Hope hugged Char.

We ate our lunch before Kelley said it was time to head out and go back to the house. It was a rather short drive, so as soon as we got back we started fixing up the rooms. We all started on my room together and then once my room was finished, we went to work on Charlotte's room.

It was a long and tiring day, so we all laid on the couch with the pizza that Kelley ordered. I was cuddling with Kelley, and Char with Hope.

I looked over to Char before speaking, "Char?" She looked my direction, "we finally have a home where we can be who we want to be." I said smiling.

Moms pulled us into a big group hug, "And we are so happy to have you both," Hope told us. "We love you girls," Kelley said after Hope.

"We love you too Moms," Char and I said simultaneously causing everyone to laugh at our twin likeness.

A/N: It's been a bit since I've updated, but I wanted to get a chapter out even though it is short. I already have the next chapter pre-planned, so hopefully I'll have that up soon too!
