Charlotte POV

It's still summer so we are using this opportunity to visit colleges. Liv wants to tour Stanford and the University of Portland whereas I want to tour the University of Washington and Portland. I'm not sure that I actually plan on going to college but figured I might as well look.

We are touring Portland today. We will tour Stanford in two days and then tour Washington two days after that. We are making a bit of a road trip out of it.

On our drive to the University of Portland mom asks us why we were looking at this school.

I tried to cover my face and so did Liv. "Uhh, we didn't want to be that far from either of you."

Mama responded first, "AWH! We have the best daughters in the whole world Hopey!" We all laughed at her response before mom smiled at me through the rearview mirror.

"Charlie?" Mom asked and I hummed at her. "Why are you looking at University of Washington?"

I shrugged in response, "It's a good school and it's your alma mater. Everyone already says I'm baby Hope so it feels fitting. Plus, I'm still close to you guys if I go there." Mom smiles brighter and Mama asks Liv the same thing but about Stanford.

"Pretty much the same as Char. It's your alma mater mama, it just feels right." Mama got super excited again, but eventually calmed down once we reached the school.

We toured it and had a family discussion that night where both Liv and I said we didn't feel like that was the right school for us which mom and mama understood.

Olivia POV

It's now two days later and we are touring Stanford. We make it onto the campus and I instantly fall in love. Everything about it feels right to me. I got to see the classrooms, the dorms, and the soccer stadium. Every part about it felt right. Mama also seemed really happy to be back at her old school.

We took a family picture together on the field and Mama posted it on her instagram. Her post read;

Touring my alma mater with my girls. At least one of them has to go here right? Whatcha think @christenpress ???

Not even two minutes after mama posted that onto instagram I get a call from Christen.

*Phone call between Olivia and Christen*

Olivia: "Hi Aunt Chrissy."

Christen: "Why didn't you tell me you were thinking about Stanford?!"

Olivia: "How do you know Charlie wasn't the one interested in Stanford?"

Christen: "Please... That girl is going to go to University of Washington just like your mom. So what do you think of the school? Are you going to go there?"

Olivia: "Bye Aunt Chrissy!"

I hung up before Christen could say anything else causing Char to laugh. "There's no way you got Aunt Chrissy off the line that fast!"

I shrugged my shoulders, "She was asking questions I wasn't ready to answer yet."

Mama joined in by laughing, "Did she freak out on you and ask you a bunch of questions about your thoughts on the school?"

I nodded and groaned which caused mom to give me a hug. "You don't have to tell anyone your plans until you're ready to baby girl."

"Thanks mom," I said and hugged her a little tighter before letting go.

"Wait no! I want to know your thoughts!" Mama yelled to me and I just shook my head at her.

Charlotte POV

It's a couple days after our tour of Stanford and we are now at mom's alma mater, University of Washington. Like Stanford and Portland we were shown the classrooms, the dorms and the soccer field.

I did really like the school and it would be really cool to go to the same school as mom, but it just didn't feel right to me. I don't know if college will be for me, but I'm too scared to express that to mom's, at least right now.

On the soccer field we took a picture on the field like we did at Stanford except mom posted it on her instagram this time and it read;

If one girl goes to the alma mater of @kelleyohara that means the other one goes to my alma mater right?

I knew deep down Liv was going to choose Stanford, but it makes me feel guilty if I don't choose Washington. I still have my junior and senior years of high school left to figure out what I want to do next, but I'm scared of making the wrong decision.

*time skip*

It's a couple of months after our school visits and Liv and I are back to full health to play soccer without restrictions again. A few weeks after we got back from touring schools we got a call up from the U-20 team. They wanted us to play at a training camp with them so we both jumped on the opportunity.

So that's why we are almost 3,000 miles away from our moms for the first time since we have been with them. It was definitely an adjustment for us, but it's nice to be playing with girls around our age again.

We excelled but I decided that was because of who our moms are and who we practice with. Moms claimed it wasn't because of them, that some of the coaches from their team had sent footage of us over to the U-20 team. To Liv and I it doesn't matter. We are just happy to be competing again after such a long break.

We were on our last day of training when the head coach pulled us aside. "I want you two to be on the official U-20 roster. I called you up to see how you two would work with our girls and you both meshed extremely well."

Liv responded first, "That would be amazing. I'd love to do it, thank you for the opportunity!"

I answered with a similar response when the coach asked us about school and I explained that we were already being home-schooled so that wasn't a problem.

She sent us back to practice, both Liv and I bouncing with excitement. We couldn't wait to tell mom and mama.

Olivia POV

We made it back to the hotel and immediately ran up to the room to call mom and mama on facetime.

*Facetime Call*

Twins: "MOMS!!"

Mama: "GIRLS!!"

Mom: "Goodness. All of you are going to make me loose my hearing.

Charlie: "Sorry mom."

Mom: "It's alright. What's got you two so excited?"

Olivia: "We made the U-20 team!!"

Mama: "That's amazing girls!!"

Mom: "It is! We are so proud of you both."

We talked to them a little bit longer before hanging up and telling them that we'd see them tomorrow night. We went to sleep excited to see mom and mama tomorrow but also because we felt like our career was getting started.
