Ch. 31 - New Home

Hope POV

After 3 or so hours, we finally pull up to our new house. It's a white brick 2 story home with a big driveway. I get out of my car and wait for everyone to pull up besides mine. The first car to pull up is Becky and Char.

Char comes around the car to give me a hug, "Hi Mom!" I feel some relief once she's back with me.

"Hi baby," I say then give her a tight squeeze and a kiss on the head. Becky gets out of the car as well and I gave her a hug just as Liv and Lindsey arrived.

Liv got out of the car and hobbled her way to me giving me a hug, in return I gave her a tight hug and a kiss on the head just like I did with Char. I hugged Lindsey as well. A little more relief flooded out of my body when I had my other daughter with me.

Finally, Kelley pulled in behind all of us. She got out of her car and pulled me into a deep kiss when she reached me. When we broke out of it, she gave me a cheeky grin. "I missed you Hopey."

"I missed you too Squirrel." Now I was completely relieved to have all three of my girls with me.

"C'mon Moms! Stop necking! We want to see the house!" Liv yelled as her and Lindsey were running towards the house. We are having a moving truck that's supposed to be here in an hour for all of the stuff that we had purchased for this house.

"Where did you even learn that word?" I yell back to her.

"Mama's mom taught us a whole bunch of old people words at Thanksgiving!" Char responded since her sister was too far gone.

We walked into the house and it was even more gorgeous in person. When you first walk in there's a stair case with intricate detail on each post. To the left there is one of the family rooms, and as you continue straight there is the main living room which has a door to the backyard. Off the living room to the left is the dining room and to the right there is the kitchen. There's one full bathroom down here as well.

"Alright girls, there's six bedrooms in this house, so go pick your bedrooms. Mine and Mamas is obviously the master suite, but there are two other bedrooms up there that share a bathroom. Those are your two rooms to choose from. The other three bedrooms are going to be for the team when they stay with us." I tell them and they make their way upstairs.

Kelley and I are behind them as we make our way up the stairs when Kelley reaches over to grab my hand. I give her a loving smile before seeing which rooms the girls had picked.

Charlotte POV

Liv and I go up the stairs and find the rooms that share a bathroom. They're pretty similar in size, but one of the rooms has a reading nook that's next to a window. Liv looks right at me with a big smile, "I think this room was made for you Char."

I just nodded and walked over to check out the reading nook. Becky had run up from behind me and sat in the nook first. I kind of frowned at her since I had planned on sitting there. She grinned before pulling me into her lap.

"Hi," She whispered. I whispered it back as I leaned into her embrace.

"We're going to leave you two be while we check out my room," I heard Liv say as her and Lindsey left my room.

Once they were gone, I stayed in Becky's lap a little longer. "So how far away do you live from here?"

She rubbed my head, "Mm you know, it's about a 5 minute walk from here." That caused me to shoot up.

"You're only 5 minutes away?" I ask in disbelief. She just laughed while nodding her head.

"Faster if you drive." I kissed her cheek before resting back against her.
