Charlotte POV
I decided to wake up earlier today in order to evade all of the questions everyone will have about my date with Becky last night. So instead of going to breakfast I decide to go for a really long run.
I of course left Moms a note that said, 'Going for a run, I'll be back in time for the bus ride.'
I got my running clothes on and snuck out of the room and down towards the lobby. I have to be extremely sneaky because I am not supposed to be doing any physical activity, which is a bunch of nonsense.
I put my headphones in and start running.
15 miles later and it's 8am when I get back, and I left around 6:30am. I know Moms will still be at breakfast so I sneak up to their room to take a quick shower and get changed.
I creep back outside to the bus and thankfully no one has loaded onto it yet so I make my way all the way to the back row. I'm pretty tired from that run so I text Mom to tell her I'm already on the bus before I fall asleep.
A little while later I am woken up by a not so happy looking mom. "Eat," she spoke assertively to me while pushing a plate full of food my direction.
"I'm good Mom, I'm not really hungry." I lied.
She raised an eyebrow, "Sorry Char, I don't care if you aren't hungry. I know you didn't eat this morning so eat now."
I decided to not fight it and took the food from her with a small smile. I slowly ate all of the food on the plate before leaning back and resting my head on moms shoulder.
"Your note said you were going for a run..." Mom started. I didn't want to talk about this so I just nodded my head.
"Which you aren't supposed to be doing with your shoulder still messed up." I grimaced thinking about the lecture I was probably going to receive, so I decided to not say anything.
Mom noticed, "So how long were you gone for?"
I kind of scratched my head and told her, "About an hour and a half."
She gave a little nod and 'hmph' before asking the dreaded question, "How many miles did you run?"
I sat up off of her and thought a minute on whether I should lie or not. "Not too many."
She didn't even answer, she just gave me one of her glares so I quickly mumbled out '15' and she was not happy.
"15 MILES?!" I shrank back into my seat, I really don't like when people yell.
"Mom... please... please don't yell." I quietly pleaded with her. She noticed how scared I looked and regret was written all over her face.
She lifted me into her lap and brushed her fingers through my hair. "I am so sorry Char. I really didn't mean to yell. I am not mad at you or anything like that. I'm just really worried about you hun. I feel like you don't care about your health as much as I do."
I leaned into her hold and nodded. "I know. I'm sorry too. I guess I'm still not use to others actually caring about me."
Mom nodded, "I know it's a learning process for you. And I will tell you everyday if I have to that we love you and want you to take care of yourself. We want you with us as long as possible."
I just nodded and laid my head under her chin again.
"So... What were you running from?" Mom asked.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, with long runs like that there is typically a reason behind you running so much."
I blushed a bit before answering, "I didn't want everyone asking about how my date with Becky went. We had a really good time, but I just want that to be between us. It's no one else's business."
She smiled at me, "You are right, it is no one else's business. But next time, just ask me for help okay? Nobody goes against what I say and I would rather me be a bitch to them than for you to feel like you need to run away from your problems."
"I love you mom."
"I love you too Char."
We didn't really talk too much the rest of the drive. When we got to the stadium, I immediately went out to the pitch while everyone else went to the locker room.
I decided to lay out on the ground and stretch my back out. Once I was finished with that I decided that it was a comfy enough position and didn't move.
That was until someone straddled my stomach causing me to jump.
"Shh Char, it's just me." When I looked up to see who was sitting on me, sure enough it was Becky.
I blushed bright red when I realized she was on top of me.
"Where did you go this morning? I was hoping to see you before practice." Becky asked.
"I went for a run. I wanted to avoid all of the questions about our date. I just want to keep some things between us, ya know?"
Becky nodded, "Of course, whatever you are comfortable with babe."
"Babe?" I asked with a grin on my face.
It was Becky's turn to blush, "That okay?"
I kind of laughed, "Of course it's okay... babe."
She nudged my good shoulder with a little grunt of frustration causing me to laugh more.
"C'mere," I whisper before I pull her down and bring our lips together.
I meant for it to be an innocent kiss, but it quickly heated as our lips moved together in sync. Becky had slipped her tongue into my mouth and I let out an involuntary moan.
"Oh my god did you just moan?" I heard my sisters voice causing Becky and I to pull away and Becky practically jumped off of me when she saw it was Liv.
"Liv! Way to ruin a moment." I glared at her.
"One, it's freaky how well you can do Mom's glare. And two, I figured you would want me to warn you that Moms were going to be right behind me and probably wouldn't be too happy seeing you two like that."
I quickly got rid of my glare and thanked my sister before heading over to the bench to watch practice.
I honestly couldn't focus on anyone practicing because I was so embarrassed that Mom and Mama almost caught me and Becky making out.
