Ch. 50 - Graduation

Anyone's POV

It's now May and Olivia has finished her last semester of high school. Charlotte finished back in December, but they decided to celebrate their graduation together. All of the national team and the Portland team has come to celebrate the girls.

Everyone brought gifts for both girls. Olivia received mostly things to help her through her first year at college and Charlotte received small gifts or money since she wasn't attending college.

The party lasted several days and all of the girls stayed at Hope and Kelley's house. This was going to be a big change for everyone. The twins would be staying with their mothers until that fall when Olivia went off to California for school and Charlotte moved in with Becky.

The women were unsure of what they were going to do with such an empty house. Of course Charlie was going to be right down the road and they will see her at practice all of the time, but it won't be the same as her being under her roof. Both women loved the young goalkeeper, but Hope was especially close to her. Kelley was also struggling with the idea of Olivia going out of state, but knew it was in her daughters best interest and was happy for her. 

At the end of the celebration when everyone had either gone home or gone to the airport that left the original four alone in the house.

They all sat on the couch when Charlotte looked to her sisters then her moms. "Everything is going to change isn't it?" Charlie asked.

Hope wrapped the girl in her arms, "Not everything. Some things will, but we will always be a family and we will always love each other."

Liv spoke up next, "Thank you both for taking the chance on us when you did. I don't know where we would be if you didn't come to our school that day. I love you mama, I love you mom."

Kelley was closest to her so she wrapped Liv up in a hug just like Charlie who was still in Hope's arms. "Mom and I talk often about how grateful we are that you two came into our lives. We love you both with all of our hearts."

Charlie said her 'I love yous' to everyone on the couch before the Solo family fell asleep on the couch together.

Both girls would be called up to play with the national team within the year. After Olivia's four years at Stanford she was welcomed to the Orlando Pride team to play alongside her girlfriend and the remaining aunts who had yet to retire while her sister still played for Portland Thorns.
