Ch. 40 - Jewelry

Charlotte POV

We have just arrived in St. Louis, MO for moms training camp. St. Louis built a new soccer stadium and we are the first to try it out.

We arrive at the Union Station Hotel and it absolutely gorgeous and historic looking. Apparently they have an aquarium and Ferris wheel so Becky and I may need to check that out. We head off into one of the meeting rooms where Coach Ellis sits us down to hand out schedules and room assignments.

Today is a travel day so we are resting. Days two, three, four, six, and seven are training days, while day five is a rest day and day eight is a travel day. We only have two friendlies for this camp and it's against Canada and Australia.

After she goes over training schedules she talks about room assignments. This hotel is extremely pricey apparently so there is two king sized beds in each room, but four to a room.

Once the last name is announced we all look at each other confused and then a younger looking girl that's about Becky's height walks through the door.

"Team... This is Lynn Williams. Mallory is out for the foreseeable future, so I decided to call Ms. Williams up for training camp to see how she meshes with the team. She is a forward as well and plays for the North Carolina Courage. I expect you all to treat her with respect."

We all nodded and greeted her. I guess being a team member means they don't put you through the ringer on stage like they did to Liv and I, but oh well. I'm rooming with moms and Becky which may be weird, but at least I'm not Liv. Carli gets super overprotective of us and her and Morgan won't be allowed to do anything most likely. Carli may make Morgan and Alex share a bed if she really feels like it.

We all make it up to the room feeling exhausted and I display it by flopping on the bed and then crawling up to the top to get under the covers. I was expecting Becky to come and lay down with me, but instead she kissed my forehead and said she'd be back later.

I pouted a little bit and saw that Mama was also going out, but Alex was at the door so that meant they were going out together and not with Becky who had left a few minutes earlier.

Mom had just gotten under her covers though, so she was clearly not going out. She looked over and saw me pouting. "What's wrong sweetheart?"

I pet Willow's head contemplating if cuddling with her would be the same, "I wanted to cuddle with Becky, but she's gone out so I guess that leaves me with Willow."

Mom chuckled at my continuous pouting, "Char sweetie, you and Willow can come lay in bed with me."

I nodded and quickly made my way over to Mom with Willow right behind me. I climbed into mom's bed and laid down into her open embrace. Willow came over and laid at our feet. Mom kissed my head as I closed my eyes, "I love you Charlotte."

I smiled, "I love you too mom," before falling asleep.

Olivia POV

I'm going out with Morgan and Becky right now because Becky wants to get Charlie a present. We also let it slip to Becky that Moe and I were dating so now she wants all of the details since we haven't told anyone.

We walk around before finding a jewelry store nearby and go inside. We are in there for maybe five minutes before Becky finds something.

"Hey guys, what about this?" She asks us and points to something behind the counter. When we walk over we both immediately agree that it's perfect.

After Becky buys it we all head back to the hotel but along the way I speak up. "Hey Becky, Moe?" They both glanced my way so I continued, "What if we went on a double date sometime while we are here? I saw that our hotel has an aquarium and Ferris wheel so that may be cool."

"Yeah, that sounds like a great idea!" Morgan pulled me in for a quick kiss.

"I'm down for it. Maybe before I ask Charlie to meet my parents," Becky mumbled out that last bit.

"You're going to ask Char to meet your parents?" I reiterated.

She looked down shyly before looking back up to me and nodding. "Do you think she'll want to?"

I sighed, "I think she'll be really happy that you want her to, but she will be scared shitless. So maybe ease into the question."

Becky gave a nod in return and we had made it back to the hotel at the end of our conversation.

Hope POV

Charlie fell asleep in my arms awhile ago and we both had taken a nap. I just woke up because someone was coming into our room, I was hoping it was my wife but it was Becky.

"She asleep?" Becky asked me quietly and I nodded since I was trying not to wake her.

Becky smiled and put a box on the nightstand before laying down in her and Charlie's bed. A few moments later Charlie started to stir awake. "Mom?"

I kissed her forehead, "Hi baby... You sleep okay?"

She nodded and tried to nuzzle back into me and fall asleep again, but I stopped her. "Becky's back." I whispered to her.

She shot up and looked over seeing Becky, "Becks!" She ran over and jumped into bed with Becky and Willow hopped up in between them. I laughed and told them I was going out for a bit.

Kind of lonely without my wife, I head down towards the lobby just to see what this place is all about. As I'm reading some of the signs about this building's history someone comes up from behind and places an arm around my waist causing me to jump.

I turn around and see my wife blushing while holding a rose and a small box. "Sorry Hopey, I didn't mean to startle you."

I smiled before kissing her, "It's alright. I missed you though."

"I missed you two, but I wanted to get you some things." She then handed me the rose and the box.

"Babe, you didn't need to do this. Though I do love the thought." I opened the box and gasped, they were gorgeous.

"One is for you and the other is for me. I do love you Hopey, so much." She said quietly.

I pulled her into my arms to hug her, "I love them and I love you Kelley. With all my heart."
