Ch. 13 - Birthday Game and Trouble

Charlotte POV

I wake up and immediately realize that I'm not in my bed so I began panicking. I realized someone was holding me, but calmed down as soon as I saw it was Becky. I leaned further into her hold and allowed myself to drift off again.

Once I awoke again I saw Becky was already awake and smiling at me. "Morning Charlie."

"Morning Becks," I tell her smiling back, "but you can call me Char like my moms and Livie."

She gave me a little squeeze since a normal hug would be difficult from this position.

"Okay, well Char, It's time to wake up. Kelley and Hope have breakfast going and we all need to eat before heading out for the day."

All of the girls from the team are staying through the weekend and today we are going to play soccer over at the stadium moms practice at.

I nodded before getting out of her embrace and walking into the kitchen to see moms had their tongues down each other's throats.

"Really? Moms we eat in here."

That must've startled them because they both jumped back about a foot.

Hope recovered first, "Morning baby, sorry you had to uh, see that."

I just laugh before walking over to give her a hug.

"It's fine mom. I was just giving you two shit."

Kelley was finally unfrozen, "hey! No bad language." I just stick my tongue out at her in response.

I walk over and hug her too, "morning mama."

She hugged back, "morning kid."

Slowly but surely everyone from the team filed into the kitchen to get their food before we got ready to leave.

Olivia POV

We are going to the soccer fields today! We already decided how it's going to work since we don't really want multiple games going.

The teams are split in half, but the only people being rotated will be the goalies.

For the red team, Alyssa is in goal first and will be swapped for Ashlyn during the second half. Defense is Krieger, Sonnett, Dahlkemper, and Dunn. Whereas their middies are Lavelle, Johnston, and Mewis. The forwards for the red team are Heath, Press, and Rapinoe.

For the blue team, Hope is in goal first and will be swapped for Charlie during the second half. Defense is Liv, Kelley, Becky, and Heather. Their middies are Horan, Brian, and Long. Their forwards are Lloyd, Morgan, and Pugh.

Time skip to the end of the game because I'm awful at writing them.

It's close to the end of the game and the teams are currently tied 1-1. Charlie is now in the goal after swapping with Mom.

Press is coming up quick to take her shot and Charlie leaps to the side to block it. She saved the shot, but she's still on the ground.

"CHARLIE!!" I ran to her and slid down to be next to her. Mom had gotten there first and had already managed to get her onto her back.

She had tears in her eyes. Charlie rarely cries. "Charlie, what's wrong are you okay?"

Mama pulled me away from Mom and Charlie. "She'll be alright kid, just give your Mom some space. They've already called the trainers."

The trainers came out and looked her over. One of them looked at Mama and shook his head. Next thing I know and ambulance is here and they are loading Charlie up with Mom right behind her.
