Tracy Island. The relaxed setting of the secret organization to International Rescue. The family, chilling or swimming by the pool. However, in the lounge, Jeff comfortably positioned in his chair ready another Kine magazine, sitting at his desk alert if another rescue call transmits in. Scott enters, wandering into the lounge.
Scott:
Oh, hi dad.
Jeff:
Hello son. What's the matter? Anything wrong?
Scott:
Oh, no it's just I was wondering about that Orb thing that's been circling around the Earth. And whether if it does come from another race of life forms, whether we need to stand by in case of an emergency. Besides, we have encountered alien life before, so we know that they exist.
Jeff:
Yeah. I know what you mean Scott. We know they exist. And that strange device orbiting our planet. What worries me is what it will do next.
Scott:
Hmmm. I mean, Brains is busy in his lab, but you're not coming out and enjoying the sun before it gets dark.
Jeff:
No Scott. I've been waiting for any activity of the Orb. John is keeping a track on the device, and will report if its activity changes.
Alan's portrait on the wall begins flashing! It then changes to show a light of an incoming aircraft flying near the island. An object crashing and falling, seemingly heading over Tracy Island.
Scott:
An unidentified craft?
Jeff:
And you said Brains was still in his lab? Let's get him to check it out. Lounge to laboratory, what's the aircraft coming near our vicinity Brains?
The monitor is the same in Brains' lab, as he inspects it closely along with the monitors and readings too. Brainman stands by himself in the corner of the lab, whilst Brains comes to his conclusion.
Brains:
Hmmm? Hmmm. The o-object app-ppears to be a sm-small DTWB test craft struck by some s-sort of interf-f-erence. P-perhaps lightning.
Scott:
But isn't a cloud in the sky out there Brains.
Brains:
Ex-xactly. So s-something has s-struck it. And now it is pl-plummeting into the oc-cean. Time t-to oc-cean, ten minutes!
Jeff:
That doesn't give us very long for the test pilot! Scott!
Scott:
Yes sir!
Scott leaves to hurriedly take off in Thunderbird 1.
Jeff:
Brains, do you reckon the pilot figure out our base if we save the craft in time?
Brains:
I h-hope not. Sc-Scott will just have to pr-pretend that it isn't.
Jeff:
Right! Did you get that Scott?
Scott:
F.A.B! I'll be in the sky in two minutes!
With Scott's arms around the two lights of the wall, he is turned around to reveal the Thunderbird 1 hanger whilst the music commences. A lift is pushed towards Thunderbird 1 as the hatch opens. The swimming pool quickly begins to open, with nobody in it for the moment. Once inside, Thunderbird 1 is wheeled downwards towards its launch bay. Scott pulls the lever back as Thunderbird 1 is wheeled along to the opening swimming pool, which has finally opened fully for the takeoff! KABOOM! Thunderbird 1 takes off! It launches out from Tracy Island, out of the swimming pool and soaring into the sky, blasting up and up and up. Scott then pushes forwards the levers of his ship as Thunderbird 1 changes to its horizontal flight as the craft does so. The female DTWB test craft, slowly pivoting towards the ocean, crash imminent any time now!
