Tracy Island. The house of the Tracy family, secretly known as International Rescue. A view from the house before we ring around the island, behind the palm trees and in front of the swimming pool. We hear the sound of an engine, a craft incoming. Thunderbird 1! A side-on shot of my favourite Thunderbird. The swimming pool is beginning to open up for Scott to land through. We see Scott pilot his craft with the voice of his father on the radio.

Scott:

Base from Thunderbird 1, coming in now.

Jeff:

F.A.B. Scott. Clear to land. How did it go?

Scott:

Pretty straightforward father. We haven't missed much whilst we've been out on this one?

Jeff:

I'll explain when you're all in the lounge.

Scott:

Ok. Changing to vertical descent.

Scott pulls back his levers as his seat begins tipping back whilst Thunderbird 1 rotates back vertically like a rocket, as the pool is fully opened to allow full access. Thunderbird 1 blasts downwards, descending down into its hanger. Thunderbird 2 begins returning in with Virgil and Alan.

Virgil:

Ireland dead ahead.

Thunderbird 2 lowers down and flies along the runway until she slows down, firing the motors, turning herself around and nicely landing on the track. Wheeling backwards until finally in her bay, the palm trees fold up. And finally, the rock face seals back up. Now the lounge, Jeff confidently and assuredly sat at his desk, with the family gathered around; Scott, Gordon, Brains, Tintin, Grandma and even Kyrano sat on the sofas attentive to listen to Jeff. Alan and Virgil are the last to arrive.

Jeff:

Ah boys, good. Sit down. This is important. John has reported that a UFO has begun orbiting over the Earth. The object arrived only ten minutes ago and Space City and the world's authorities have been alerted.

Gordon:

Seems as though the aliens have come to avenge themselves from Mars.

Jeff:

That's enough Gordon. The object came from outside our solar system and we have received no contact from the orb circling our planet.

Brains:

Erm, M-Mr. Tracy, i-if it was a UFO then i-it would d-defy ev-very law to th -thermodynamics. Th-this object appears to be l-like a n-normal satellite s-surveying our planet.

Virgil:

But their intentions aren't known. Suppose where this orb came from could be from a life force determined to learn more about the universe as we do.

Jeff:

It's a possibility. But unlikely. If so, why haven't they contacted our radio calls?

Tintin:

The most worrying part is who this comes from. And what they are scanning for.

Jeff:

Exactly. Therefore, I am placing International Rescue under alert in case any we receive any calls from any extraterrestrial hostile action. As Dr. Grant on the second Zero X mission famously put, I may have a feeling we may encounter life as we don't know it.
