We return to XK9 rocket, with Thunderbird 3 flying out towards the moon, as well as the oncoming asteroids clearly, the massive field approaching them hurriedly.

Brains:

A-Alan, the a-asteroid field is beg-beginning to b-build. We n-need to take ac-action n-now!

Alan:

Stand by with the missiles!

Brains:

F.A.B!

He hurriedly departs down the lift to reach the lower level again, with the safety beam and missile panel. Inside the XK9, the crew begin falling unconscious from the heat or the lack of oxygen. All who's left awake, hardly, is the dreary eyed shuttle pilot. His suit is drenched in his sweat from the heat, with the extra stuffiness it hardly makes him cooler.

Alan:

Thunderbird 3 to XK9, can you divert from the asteroid storm?

Shuttle Pilot:

Negative. Our controls went dead about... about twenty, thirty minutes ago. Something like that. Can't do anything! More we move, quicker we use up... the air!

Alan:

Just hang in there XK9, just hang in there! We're coming to get you! But first we need to knock out that storm. Ready Brains?

Brains:

Ready Alan!

The storm is beginning to swarm closer, and closer, and closer! Any moment now!

Firing n-now!

Little shots from Thunderbird 3 are fired out. BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!

Alan:

Keep it up Brains! Keep it up!

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! One is about to hit the XK9! FIRE! BANG! BANG! BANG! KABOOM! Another is about to collide with Thunderbird 3! Brains fires right before it hit the top of the craft! KABOOM! Right over Thunderbird 3! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! The storm has passed.

Well done Brains!

Brains:

Thanks Alan! But it looks like we have some chunks of s-space debris coming from the X-XK9's e-erm, port side.

Alan:

Brains, we don't have very much time left. I need to get in there and get those men out of there before she crashes. XK9, are you ready in your suits yet?

Shuttle Pilot:

Suits? No. The more we move, the quicker... Quicker, we use up the air... air...

He passes out!

Alan:

Hello? XK9? XK9? Time till collision course with moon – twenty minutes!

Brains:

Alan, the space debris! Firing now!

The massive silver chunks of space debris from the moon obviously, floating around loneliness and about to crash into the XK9! Several large pieces about to hit them! Brains fires at them! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! KABOOM! The XK9, safely missed, begins floating around the orbit with the moon.

Alan:

Good shooting Brains! We don't have any more wreckage flying in our path for the rest of the course, and hopefully it stays that way! Hopefully it stays that way! I'm going out now!
