Alvaro's POV:

A month had passed and he still hadn't woken up. It broke my heart knowing that he would give himself up to protect his lovers. Xavier wanted to protect his lovers and that's what he did in the end. He gave himself up to Mauricio so that Quincy would be free from him and the rest of us could leave without a scratch.

I respected him so much and he didn't even know it. He's such a hardworking young man that has done so much for all of us. It's unfair to think because we were all using him in some way.

Before Xavier ever came into our lives, we were all fucked up in a way. Amir used to lash out on the Made Men if they messed up on training or if they did something wrong. He would make some of the Made Men beat the man that messed up so that he would learn not to mess up again.

Manuel wasn't a stable leader. He would drink a lot and would even constantly forget to show up at his own meetings. He was getting worse and we would try to help him stop drinking, but he would ignore us or run away to some other country for days or even weeks.

Gio was bad too. He used to not be able to control his anger and would lash out multiple times a day on his own men. That ended up with some dead men and a ruined training area.

Marco was getting into drug abuse. When I first met Xavier after Felix introduced me to him, Marco was getting worse. Then when we introduced Xavier to The Five, it's as if Xavier knew something was wrong. He helped Marco stop his addiction.

With Eddie, it was different. He wasn't able to get over the loss of his mother. I met her once, and from what I was able to tell, she was the only family that Eddie had left. He wouldn't show up to the meetings either, but was out spending his time alone in a hidden part of the world that we still didn't know to this day.

For Felix, Ollie, and I, it wasn't as serious, but he still helped us. Ollie was abused most of his life until he told us that he had been suffering on his own and was moving somewhere else to start new. Before he left, he reported his parents and won the case which ended up sending his parents to prison for a long time.

Felix and I weren't tamed as we are today. We constantly caused problems for Amir and wouldn't take the gang life seriously.

Xavier helped us all. Amir is more calm and rarely lashes out anymore. Manuel has been sober for a little more than three years now. Gio doesn't lash out anymore and takes medication to help control his anger. Marco has also been sober for a little more than three years too. Eddie has moved on from grieving and is in a much better mental state.

We needed help and he was it. He was only fifteen and he helped us become the way we are today. It baffles me because how can a young boy be so worried about others and help them become better people?

It hurt me knowing that I didn't know when he was going to wake up, but all I could do was wait for him. I remember the doctor told us about how Xavier had a less chance at living. Levi, Enzo, and the others broke down. It seemed like Dom and Milo knew since they eventually told us that they knew before us.

Felix and Ollie almost cried, but I didn't. I couldn't. My mind disconnected from my body and I didn't hear anything else. It scared me, because I didn't want to lose Xavier. He was one of my best friends and I knew Felix and Ollie didn't want to either.

When we got back home that night, we went straight to bed. We didn't speak to one another, we just moved into our shared bed and fell asleep. Well, I couldn't sleep, because I kept thinking about Xavier.

If I could, I would thank him for helping us all and changing us. When he disappeared for a while, Felix and I looked everywhere. Amir and the others tried their best, but somehow we just weren't able to find him until he came into my jewelry shop at the school I own.
