—Part XVI—

I chuckled as I saw my little ray of sunshine running towards me as he exited his school gates. "Mommaaaa! " And of course you can't forget his mama with a slight slang. I lowered myself down and opened my arms widely for a hug and he did. "How was my ray of sun's day? " He giggled and showed me his hand, they're almost full of stickers saying Good Job with a star.

"I got almost of them. Next time I'll strive hard for math! Oh moma, math will be the end of meeee~ " I laughed at him and mess up his hair "Oh Blake, of course it's math. That's moma's weakness too! " And we both laugh as we hold hands while we walk.

He told me about his day and I told him mine but as we are almost at home, he couldn't help but ask me the same question he's been asking for a few months now. "Moma, when can I meet Daddy? " I couldn't look at him and just heave a sigh.

"Definitely not now, but maybe soon. You know Daddy is somewhere far and I bet he's doing super well with his life so, we should too! " Then I lowered myself at him. "Let's buy ice cream, and make Uncle Nick buy us pizza. " I peck his forehead as he smile widely.

"That'd be great Moma! Ice cream and pizzaaaa for dinner! " He let go of my hand and he ran off towards the house. "Oh Blake, I'm sorry for not telling you the truth. " I sighed deeply and fix my smile before I head inside the house.

So, before you could ask anything. 2 years ago I manage to get my own studio type apartment near Blake's school and couldn't help but contact Kian from home to help me with the coffeeshop problems, I trust Kian no matter how many girls he hooked up with he'll always try his best to help me. We're like bestfriends.

"Moma! I already called Uncle Nick! We should buy ice cream now! " Blake hurriedly went my way adjusting his shorts. "Okay Honey, let mommy change first. Wait for Moma okay? " He nodded and went to the sofa. I head to the room to change my clothes. It's almost summer time and Blake's curiosity about his father is killing me, is it time to move back to the Philippines? Am I ready? No, Debbie. This isn't whether you're ready or not, this is about Blake not you anymore.

I put my wallet inside my jacket's pocket and went out of my room, frowning as I saw no sign of Blake. "Honey? " I searched his room but he's not there. "Blake!? Where are you? " I went outside and roam around. "Fck! Blake!! " Worry creeps into my system, my trembling hands tried to dial Nick's number.

"He—"

"Where are you?! Is Blake with you?! Fck. Tell me! Please. "

"Hey hey! Calm down! "

"How can I fckng calm down if I see no Blake where I told him to fckng wait?! Fck! "

"DEBBIE! Blake's with me. Calm down. He ran off the house after I told him I'm in front of your house and he told me to surprise you with an ice cream when we come back. "

A sigh of relief crush through my system and tears started to stream my eyes.

"H-hey! Are you crying?! F—fudge! We're coming back! Wait inside the house! Blakey let's go home! "

Then he dropped the call. Instead of waiting inside I decided to wait at the front porch. A few minutes later I can see Nick's worried face and Blake who's enjoying his food. I brush off my tears and run towards Blake then hugged him tightly.
