Chapter 3

A knock at the door prompted for Manami to get up from her bed and quickly throw on a robe. Running over to the door, she unlocked it, as it flew open, revealing the agitated Kanato, who didn't look very happy at the sight of her.

"Say, Manami, why did you lock the door?" He walked in, taking a step closer to her, making her back up.

"Because having you walk in here is the last thing that I would have wanted." She responded, walking towards the bedside table and taking out a bag that gave off a sweet smell.

"What do you think gives you the right to lock the door?"

"My sex?" She responded, taking out a cookie out of the bag that she had brought with her due to her old maid's popular demand. "I wouldn't want one of you walking in on me changing."

"You are making me mad on purpose, aren't you? All the more better for the day that I break you to come!" He whispered, though Manami couldn't hear.

He placed Teddy on the edge of her bed, making his way over to her. He was excited to be the first brother to get to try her blood. The thoughts of her quivering figure underneath him placed a wicked smile on his face, as he grabbed her shoulder and threw her on the bed, catching her by surprise.

Slowly, he climbed on top of her, grabbing her neck roughly, small laughs escaping him.

"Kanato." She said, as Kanato snapped at her with a confused expression. "Open your mouth."

His expression of excitement quickly changed to the one of curiosity at her request, though he wasn't going to listen to some mere human throwing a command at him.

"You think you can tell me what to do-"

He was interrupted as she shoved something crunchy into his mouth. His eyes were wide open, as he looked to see what it was. A cookie.

"I have a whole pack." She said, pushing him off of her and showing him the bag which she held in her hands. "You look like the type to like sweets."

She was right. He did love sweets. The aftermath of their taste left him in a state of ecstacy, one that could almost equal to the taste of blood. Curiosity took the best of him, as he took a bite out of the cookie.

"Chocolate." He said, a smile appearing on his face, releasing a sigh out of Manami's lips.

She was successful in distracting him from herself, happy that the maid forced her to take some for the road as a snack.

"Do you like chocolate?" She asked, earning a grin from Kanato. "I see. Baking is a hobby of mine, since I love sweet things. Would you like for me to bake something for you later today?"

"Yes!" Kanato exclaimed, grabbing the bag of cookies out of her hands. "Teddy, we are having a tea party today!"

He laughed with his signature creepy grin on his face, as he smiled at Manami. "Don't think I have forgotten the reason that I originally came here for."

"I wouldn't think of it." She nodded, deciding that being obedient in this situation is the right choice, as long as the creepy boy would get out of her room.

As if reading her mind, he left in an instant, even though she didn't hear him open the door.

She inhaled deeply, feeling relaxed that she had avoided the danger, as she heard another knock at the door. Did he come back again?

Standing up in irritation, she opened the door and started to talk. "Look, I will bake something for you tonight but right now I-"

"I prefer pure tea." The voice interrupted her, as she was startled at the sight of Reiji.
