The clothes Mukami brothers gave to Manami were a perfect fit, which made her think: "How the hell did they know my size?"
After Yuma had left her alone, the wounds from her car fall began to ache excruciatingly. Deciding it would be better to sleep through it, she laid herself in the bed and dozed off, only to awaken at the sunset of yet another day.
To her surprise, when she awoke, there laid a stack of clothes on the side of her bed, with some pairs of shoes, and a note saying: 'A present for my favorite human girl!' At the bottom, a signed 'Kou' with a crookedly scribbled heart.
"I could sell this online." She thought out loud, as she took the note and placed it into one of the drawers. "Not my fault he is stupidly famous."
She searched through the clothes, her eyes landing on the dark velvet dress that fell to her mid-thigh. It had a V-line neck and long sleeves, which could cover up her now scratched up arms.
"This should do fine, even though it's a little too short for my liking." Manami said out-loud, as she grabbed it along with a pair of randomly picked shoes. "Not my style but, it will do..."
Quickly throwing those clothes on, she brushed through her hair with a porcelain hairbrush that looked to expensive to be usable.
She made her way to the bathroom, where she squeezed out some toothpaste from a white tube and began to brush her teeth.
Her faces had gotten even thinner since all of this began. The amount of blood she lost, her being thrown around by the Sakamakis, and now the stress of knowing that she might die any second if the Mukamis find out she isn't the Eve...
"I'm deep in a hole..." She placed her hands against the sink and looked down, toothbrush still in her mouth. "What the fuck am I supposed to do?"
They will find out eventually that they had kidnapped the wrong girl, she debated, but what if they don't? Should I tell them the truth? No, they are still vampire... They will either kill me, or kidnap Yui and use me as a substitute - same thing as with Sakamakis.
Back in the Sakamaki mansion, she remembered the brothers switching to predominantly drinking Yui's blood. Rarely did they come in for her's, and when they did, she just simply accepted it without protest.
This strategy proved to be in her favor, as they were much gentler with her than before. It was a peaceful transaction, in comparison to her first weeks at their manor.
However, Laito absolutely refused to drink any of Manami's blood. She was starting to think that he hates her, but his constant nagging proved otherwise. On the contrary, he just wouldn't leave her alone in that damn house.
Similarly to him, Shu was just as adamant on not drinking her blood. She knew the reason, and that was because his pride wouldn't let him. Why would he come to a human girl and ask her for blood, when she can just come to him instead?
That was his goal: to make her crawl to him on all fours and become his full-fledged property.
And to that, Manami had one answer:
Go to hell...
...
"From now on, you are mine. Your soul and body, and everything that comes with it, belongs to me. "
...
That was what he said. So why did she misunderstand such possessive and delusional words for some special feelings? He didn't want her because he loved or liked her, but because she was 'interesting' or 'complicated.' He wanted a toy and a property, and Manami sure damn well wasn't going to succumb to that.
