Thud.
"Little kitten!" Kou sprung up as he saw the girl walk into a wall. "You've been running into things all day long, do we need to take you to the eye doctor? Did I really push you too hard?"
"I- em-," she rubbed her back as she got herself up onto her feet. "Yes- I mean, no. I-... Where is the bathroom?"
"Down the hall?" Kou cocked his head to the side, his face held an expression of both amusement and confusion.
He watched as she walked - more like wriggled - her way to the bathroom, slamming the door shut and locking it.
Did I miss something?
...
Manami sat on the toilet seat, grabbing a piece of toilet paper and attempting to make an airplane out of it. It took her seven different tries and four individual pieces of toilet paper until she finally realized - it won't fly.
Am I on drugs or something? What am I doing here?
She had to admit, she had spent the whole day doing the weirdest of tasks. The ones she would have never even considered.
Earlier this morning, she grabbed gardening tools and began to cut down the bushes into different mathematical figures. Ruki was extremely dissatisfied by the collection of polygons she had made out of their bushes. It looked more like a math problem than a garden.
Later, she decided she was going to build a pool.
All four Mukami brothers, were startled when they saw her bring five full buckets of water into the living room, where they rested.
"What are you doing, little kitten?" Kou said, looking away from his video game and at the girl, who was already starting to sweat from all the energy she had exerted into carrying the water.
"I thought I could build an outdoor pool."
"Outdoor... pool?" Azusa frowned, as Ruki looked away from his book.
"What pool?" He questioned, but Manami only shrugged. "We don't need a pool."
"But..." She ran out the door, before coming back with a shovel. "I came prepared."
"Hypothetically - I allowed you to build a pool..." Ruki closed the book, resting his chin on his fingers. "Do you even know how to?"
"Well, I watched these two guys do it on the internet." She said, looking away in thought. "They go to different biomes, like deserts, and using their hands and environment, they built houses and pools. It didn't look that hard."
(A/N: I feel like we've all been through that stage where we had their video in our recommended at midnight and then we just binged them build stuff with their hands.)
At the end, she was not allowed to follow her aspiring engineering dream, but that didn't stop her, as a new task idea was born in her head.
"Let's-"
"No."
"But you haven't even heard my idea yet." Manami folded her arms, as she stood at Ruki's study.
"You wish to move the furniture around in an attempt to create a new and more exciting look."
"Wow, it's like you can read my mind." She said, raising her eyebrows, her voice monotone.
"I just thought of the most ridiculous thing you can propose through a process of elimination." He said, looking up at her in irritation. "Now, leave."
Where are all of these ideas coming from and why? Well, that was quite simple, to the point that even she was self aware.
My first ever real, serious, and perhaps even genuine confession.
