Chapter 17

I never said a proper goodbye. A proper hug would have changed so much, if I had tried to reach out, she maybe wouldn't have... I will never forgive myself, we were in an argument last time we saw each other, and it was for the dumbest thing, I can't even remember why we were arguing, this is what I mean, if I had been more mature, I would have had more time, a goodbye.

Tomorrow, Natalia and I would be planning a small get together to reminisce her, it's the least we could do after all she had done for us. She deserves the world, and that's something I wish we could give to her. I really have no words to express the way the news have shocked me, even with everything going on  at home, Emma would always have a smile one and there was nothing or no one who could ever change that, she was the someone I aspired to be, everyone looked up to her. I can't imagine how Cole is holding on, he must be all grown now. The last time I saw him he was 6. I still can't believe it if I'm being completely honest. 

It was time for me and Natalia to go to sleep, my aunt walked in on us hugging and crying, which she joined us in. She was down to help set everything up in the garden before leaving for work herself. All night I couldn't help but think of her, the way she laughed at anyone's jokes even if they weren't funny just to make them feel special, the way she would always help people with their homework even if it wasn't her problem, how she would always help elderly people cross the street, how she would put anyone before her. Small things like that were the ones which made everyone love her, she was special. And I can't believe, she's just gone like that. 

My alarm went off very early, so we would have time to plan everything ad set everything up. I got up and got dressed in a comfortable outfit for now, later i would shower and wear the appropriate one. Natalia and my aunt went to get food, after a speech and everything there would be like a buffet i guess you could say, leaving me at home putting up the event, i'd be also sending out the invitations. As I said before, it would be a small get together basically consisting of her close friends, usually you would invite her family but this time i'd only invite her grandparents which were like my second grandparents too. My aunt and Nat were coming in a bit, so i called Tayler to help me set everything up which he kindly agreed to. He got here and everything was settled just in time, Lyss and Nat got here and we put the food up, soon enough people stating arriving, there were only 14 people counting us. 

One by one we shared memories we had with her, we had a good laugh every so often and tears too, it's true. Emma was a great person, No one had anything bad to bring out about her, she was simply like that, always perfect. 

A few hours later, everyone had gone home and my aunt to work, leaving me alone with my thoughts once again. It left me to remember that one person, Jaden. Fuck Jaden. Fuck me. Fuck everything. Fuck him for what he had done. Fuck me for just crawling back in his arms after everything. Fuck everything because everything was messed up! 

I decided to turn my phone on after hours of it being powered off. 

500 notifications from Instagram...    ugh...

I went through some of them, they were mostly comments and some likes, and all of the boys followed me, except you know who.

 People don't know the half of it and they're already judging, why? What did I do to them? What do they know?! I check my dms as Bryce told me to.

"hey mags, I forgot to give you my number so here, +* *** *** ***"

"kk, ill save it, ill text you soon"

And with that I turned my phone off once again. I'm done with social media for the day.
