I FINALLY CONTINUED to go to school, after skipping a bunch. Remember that essay that I was struggling to write? The one about the best thing that had happened to you? It was due in the time that I was gone, but I got time to make it up.

I remember saying that I had no idea of what I was going to do, or write for it. Saying that I had nothing extremely good happen to me, nothing that I had experienced that was the best thing ever. Well, now I know. I started it like this.

"as i stepped out into the rain, from the café, i had two things on my mind. the pattering rain, and the cheery boys that i saw, which included the love of my life."

Ponyboy and I were now dating; and it's been going well. Darry didn't mind him dating me, neither did anyone else. Life was good now, I'm happy with myself. I don't have to fake all my smiles or hold in tears.

{ 8 years later }

❝ i'll love you through thick and thin. ❞

I'm getting married, I'm at the alter. Ponyboy had proposed to me, and obviously I said yes to him. Nothing could outdo the love I had for him, and I would love him forever. We were standing in front of each other, ready to give our vows.

"Eleanor, when I first met you, was when I caught you staring at me in class. You seemed like a nice girl, someone I wanted to get to know. You eventually became friends with my, basically family, and they've become your family too. And in those days, we went through a lot. But here we are now, together. I love you, and I'll love you through thick and thin." He had been with me through thick and thin, and to imagine him still being there with me, was amazing.

"Ponyboy, when I was staring at you, it was unintentional, but I'm glad it happened. You were there when nobody else was, you helped me with small things like my homework, and big things like my mom's death, and my attempted suicide. I can't fathom that I'm going to spend the rest of my life with you, it's so amazing. I guess dreams do come true."

We said our vows and 'I do's', which then came to the last thing.

"You may kiss the bride."

Ponyboy snaked his arms around my waist and pulled me into a kiss, and it was great. The memories we had together flashed before my eyes, causing me to tear up.

"Don't cry, baby. You look beautiful." He said. I laughed at his words.

"I must be dreaming." I said, looking into his eyes. The green hint was warm and glowing.

"I must be too, this moment is ethereal."
