he knew that it was standard procedure yet whenever he asked that god forbidden question, he felt a part of his soul get forcefully ripped away from him, leaving him to become more of an empty shell the more "patients" he asked.
"i've been having trouble sleeping."
he took it down on his piece of paper which now was decorated with little blots of red ink he didn't even realise he had made.
"you know that i'm not legally allowed to give you any sort of drugs right?"
he was however, supposed to be able to help with such problems and knew he only asked in hopes to turn the younger boy away from the "sunshine room" and into the actual school counsellors' office.
"i-i know but i've been told by my hyungs that just talking to you helps. hyunjin hyung said you're like the sun!"
there it is.
the oh so famous comparison between him and the sun which at first, he had found rather lovely to hear but now, it sounded a lot like nails scratching across a blackboard - it was a nightmare.
he put his pen down on his lap and took a good look at the boy before him.
black hair, round eyes and a dimple. his shirt was far too oversized with it clearly being someone elses' shirt and judging by the way he kept pulling on the rubber band on his wrist, felix could tell that he was nervous.
"you're stressing out aren't you?"
"how-how'd you know?"
felix flashed him a bright smile, the same smile that made everyone call him the "sunshine boy".
"i guess it's just part of my job to know."

student : seo changbin
signed by : lee felixa boy walked in, clad in all black with his arms swinging aggressively by his sides. felix knew he had seen him around school before and from what he's heard about the boy who just unceremoniously fell into his seat, he knew that he had his work cut out for him.
seo changbin wasn't a bad person per say but he was simply troubled.
no one really knew what was wrong with him but there were some days when he would smile and nod while other days he would snap at anyone who so much as came near him.
he had been sent to the school counsellor but after refusing to speak to her on multiple occasions, he was sent to where felix was.
the sunshine room.
the room at the end of the hallway with a small smiling sun pinned onto the door and painted yellow just for that extra kick of it being a place for "optimism" and "positivity".
really, it was just a place for students to come bitch to their resident student counsellor.
but ever so often, felix would be faced with some truly troubled people and he, with his lack of expertise, had to help them somehow.
