the first thought that ran through felixs' brain when he saw the brown haired boy enter was ' well this is unexpected '. 

he watched as seungmin looked around for a moment, clearly lost since he had never once stepped foot within the sunshine room but once his eyes landed on the seat in front of felix, he knew that that was where he was supposed to go. 

he shuffled slowly over to the armchair and sat down, having a mini staring competition with felix because he had no idea how such "sessions" worked. 

"so how may i help you today?"

felix picked up his pen and smiled at seungmin, the same smile that he knew melted the hearts of every person who saw it. seungmin lowered his gaze and fiddled with his fingers, intertwining them as he looked at the ground.

"i'm worried about jeongin."

"jeongin?"

felix was slightly taken aback by his words, the more cynical part of him thinking that seungmin wouldn't mind if jeongin were hurt since after all, he was the one hyunjin was currently trying to pursue.

seungmin nodded, raising his head and meeting his gaze once more.

"jeongin didn't come for choir practice today and i asked some of his classmates and apparently, he didn't go to school today. i-i've been texting him but..."

he paused, releasing a sigh.

"he hasn't been reading them, much less actually responding to them."

"so you came here because of jeongin and not for yourself?"

felix found that completely strange. normally, people who walked through the doors of the sunshine room always had some sort of baggage that they wanted to get off their chest or at the very least, they had something or someone they didn't like and just wanted to vent about.

but the boy right in front of him was different - he didn't seem to hold any ill will towards his friend, the only thing he was harbouring was concern and worry about him which felix found commendable but so completely odd.

seungmin seemed taken aback by his question, his eyes widening slightly.

"i-i thought i was talking about my concerns..."

"i mean, you are but how do you feel? i get that you're worried about him but besides that, how are you?"

"i-i'm fine."

bullshit.

felix saw him start to shake his leg, a habit that indicated that he was feeling anxious, something that felix had took note of ever since he became classmates with the boy.

"if you're fine, then why are you here?"

shake.

"because i'm concerned about jeongin."

shake, shake.
