Hyunjin watched as people walked by, all of them seemingly having a place to go or a person to go to. Yet, there he was, all alone on a park bench as the world continued spinning past him.

Although he was well aware of the fact that Jeongin had been hospitalised, he knew that no one in the right mind would ever choose to tell him where since after all, he had been a cause for whatever Jeongin was going through.

He sighed as he watched a couple walk past, their hands tightly laced together, the shorter of the pair wearing an oversized jacket that Hyunjin immediately assumed was his partners'. A faint smile appeared on his face, a memory of him ever so casually taking out a blanket from his bag and wrapping Jeongin in it playing in his head.

"Wh-why do you have a blanket with you hyung?"

"I was scared that you'd get cold," Hyunjin muttered to himself, remembering his exact response to Jeongin's question.

And, for a second, he could see his rosy cheeks and his shy smile. He remembered the way Jeongin had averted his gaze almost immediately yet still holding on tightly to the blanket.

He looked up at the sky, wondering and secretly wishing that at that moment, Jeongin would be looking at it too.

Fluorescent lights greeted him once more and he knew that he had passed out yet again on the floor.

Jeongin sighed as he sat up, his meal placed on the bedside table along with his medication and a short note from his nurse basically telling him to rest rather than walk around.

He hated it.

He hated how he had to eat meals that have been specifically prepared for his nutritional needs rather than the taste itself. He hated how neatly arranged his medicines were, how detailed the instructions from his nurse had become because of how his body seemed to refuse to get better but most importantly, he hated the absolute lack of freedom.

Out of agitation, he took the bottle of muscle relaxant pills and tossed them against the wall, all of the pills falling out of the container and onto the floor.

He shut his eyes and counted to ten thereafter.

"One, two, three..."

"You're alright."

Jeongin could hear Hyunjin's voice ringing in the back of his head, slowly and steadily calming him down.

"Four, five..."

"I'm here for you."

"Six, seven, eight..." Jeongin could feel tears welling up in his eyes as he quickly shut them and continued counting.

"Just breathe okay?"

"Nine..."

"I'll always be here for you."

And, before he could even count to ten, he felt his voice get stuck in his throat as his tears started falling with no sign of stopping soon.

"Cute."

Felix blushed the second that one word fell from Changbin's mouth, almost completely dropping their drinks onto the ground as he felt his heart skip a beat.

Changbin, noticing this, simply smiled in return, placing his head in his hands as he stared at Felix who had waddled his way back to their table from the cashier.

"What'd you get?" Changbin asked as Felix placed his iced americano in front of him.

"A fruit smoothie," Felix replied, sliding into his seat at the booth and taking a few sips of his drink but before he could even take another sip, Changbin had took hold of his glass.

Changbin stared at the contents of the glass before lifting his head up. "Can I try?"

"Yea sure I-"

If Felix were drinking anything, he was certain he would have spat it all out as Changbin's lips touched his straw, the thought of an indirect kiss making Felix all the more flustered than before.

When he had asked, Felix thought that he would either use his own straw or drink directly from the cup but the fact that he had decided to use Felixs' straw was sending his mind into an overdrive.

"What's wrong?" Changbin asked, handing his drink back to him nonchalantly.

Felix shook his head, pretending that nothing went wrong and for a few minutes, they just talked about mundane things like how school had been and how their friends were and as they talked, Felix felt himself caring more and more about everything Changbin had to say despite the fact that they were all normal.

As a counsellor, he had always listened to everyone drone on and on about their lives and when he listened to them, he found his mind constantly wondering elsewhere. Yet, when it came to Changbin, he wanted to know absolutely everything about the boy from what his favourite colour was to what season he preferred.

Everything that he once found mundane became something extraordinary when it was Changbin talking about it.

He didn't even realise how time had gone by so quickly, the moon hanging low in the sky as they finally left the cafe, Changbins' hand almost instinctively finding Felixs' as they walked around without any set end point in mind.

Everything was beautiful.

Everything was perfect.

For once in his life, he felt that nothing could ruin the happiness that he was feeling, the immense warmth practically embracing him constantly whenever he was with Changbin.

But all good things, all perfect scenarios, always had an end.

"Seo Changbin! Didn't know you were in a relationship now!" The pair turned around to face a group of boys with bruises, scars and scratches marking almost every visible area of skin on their bodies.

As they walked towards Changbin, he immediately stepped forward, shielding the Australian boy from their line of sight.

"Are you trying to protect him?" A bitter laugh followed his statement, a sadistic smirk forming on his face which caused Felixs' grip on Changbins' hand to tighten, the boy almost digging his nails into Changbins' palm ( not that the older boy minded ).

"Get lost," Changbin spat, shocking Felix momentarily since he had never sounded so aggressive, so terrifying, before. "Don't come any closer."

"Aw, are you scared that we'll hurt your precious baby?"

"Touch him and I will break your arms."

"So, Seo Changbin does have a weakness! You! What's your name?" One of them pointed at Felix, the aussie quickly hiding behind Changbin, his entire body starting to tremble.

Everything about the way that they were acting and the way that they looked deeply reminded him of his own father, his subconscious fear kicking in.

His mind was preoccupied with a million thoughts, paralysing him in his place as his breathing became heavier and heavier, each breath he took feeling as though it weighed a hundred tonnes.

And suddenly, he heard a loud slam snapping him out of his daze as he saw the boy who had asked for his name writhing in pain on the ground.

"I already warned you. Touch him and I will hurt you," Changbin said, the other boys quickly helping the one who Felix assumed was their leader.

Their leader laughed, sending chills down Felix's spine as Changbin had wrapped an arm around him protectively.

"I don't know who the fuck you are blonde boy but next time we meet-" Changbin had started dragging Felix away from them, his footsteps getting quicker by the second but despite that, Felix could still his words playing in his head.

"You'll die at his expense."
